I really don't think Pop needs to be that much of an ass.

he's just having fun out there
Pop's an amazing coach but he gets off on being a total to the press. It's getting old at this point.
Pop
the first interviewer ed the whole thing for everyone.
Pop is the kinda guy you start on the wrong foot with him and just forget it, move to another city or country.
what did he ask? something about "expect you won't change a thing..."
Looks like he's just shooting them with no routine at all. Explains why he can't hit them in the game.
Kenny Smith a week or so ago said something about Pop's ability to make any question sound stupid. Spot on
the first inteviewer is craig saiger, i love the shrug pop gives him![]()
"Ok.."
It is old, tbh. I understand him being a to some stupid media pricks sometimes, but come on now. He just goes overboard. So much for class and respect. We praise Manu, Tony and the guys for being really good at interviews, then Pop is just an ass to be an ass.
It's funny sometimes when they air it on TNT, but sometimes, it's just ridiculous.
Tbh, I was kinda upset that Pop stopped giving one word answers. The less anyone talks to the media, the better. Especially during an important playoff series.
Enough with the interviews, lets get this going already!![]()
I like it, keeps them on their toes, they ask terrible questions for the most part because they know they can get way with it. Pop respects the reporters who have a real understanding of the game, I remember him being nice to Cheryl Miller in the Jazz series and a to the other ones who came off as tools who didn't know the first thing about bball.
And tbh most people deal with tougher every day at their jobs, who cares.
Pop doesn't like talking strategy.
yeah, being insulting, ridiculing, and condescending stopped being funny a long time ago. The sports "journalists" have job to do, too.
If they want better answers, they should ask better questions. Just like hack-a-bad foul shooter. Pop doesn't foul guys who can make their free throws.
From the OKC shootaround:
Perk was asked what the difference is between defending Tim Duncan and Andrew Bynum. “Well, Duncan is smart,” he said.

Btw, Pop's really nervous about tonight's game. He was even more prickish than his usual self in the interview.
haha nice.
That might be very true
