You can't tell us a game won't affect the players or the next game, not US. We witnessed .4 our team mentally.
Where have I said we will certainly win game 2? I said how we lost game 1 won't be a factor in what happens in game 2.
That's the point.
You can't tell us a game won't affect the players or the next game, not US. We witnessed .4 our team mentally.
So the result of game one of this series has no bearing on any other game in this series, buy Philly/Boston does?![]()
You cannot separate this imo. How you lost is a factor on how you go about game 2. You cannot just fold like a cheap lawn chair in the 4th and not take something from it.
The got darn Aswan Dam burst... we just rushed at the basket continually and you guys just got swept down river.
Encouraged by blowing a nice 4th quarter lead and facing a must win game in Game 2?
I doubt it, that was an epic choke job on their part and the gag reflex is kicking in.
Don't compare a team that has never even been to the finals with the glorious Gods that roam the Staples Center.
Teams that win Game 1 at home win the series 86.2% of the time.![]()

They've been to the Finals three times.
Or do accomplishments in another city not count, hmmmm?
To me, they don't.
If they do to you, than go right ahead and spew.
They don't to me, either.
So just for the record, how many les do the Lakers have then?
Vagina Face shot and made two or three meaningless 3-pointers at the end of the game. This was truly a 10-point win.
It's strange seeing an OKC fan use the "we should have won" card considering their first two series they should have lost several games they won.
Laker trapping.
Its fun.
Westbrook making bad decisions isn't the norm?
The most overrated player in the NBA. Bad shots, bad turnovers, not getting his teammates involved, but he scores so.....
I don't count the Minneapolis ones myself....thus, 1972, 1980, 1982, 1985, 1987, 1988, 2000, 2001, 2002 (threepeat Bro), 2009, 2010.
By my count, that is 11 in the modern era....no one cares about what the Celtics did in a 12 team league in the 50's and 60's.
Vag cost me and a lot of other people money with his blatant stat padding. I hate him intensely and enjoyed seeing Manu rip him a new asshole.
Westbrook is not overrated, much like Tony Parker....he is actually underrated.
He had a poor Game 1, but he is a flat out stud.
Overrated NBA PG #1 is Chris Paul. 2nd place for most overrated would be Derek Rose.
The modern era began in 72 Im thinkin.
Nice to see you have higher standards than Jerry Buss.
You should start a campaign to have the other five taken down.
OK, 10 since 1980 then!![]()
The Spurs are going to have to be better for game 2. The Thunder are really good in games after loses. I think 16-3.
As soon as you put *'s next to 1999 and this year (yes, you guys will win it) then we can do that!
That will be 16-4 come tomorrow night.
Especially since NBA will be going for an all out fix job using corrupt refs in Game 2.
You know they want a long series here, especially since the East could very likely be a sweep.
The Thunder played good all game. In the first half, it wasn't their
defense that staggered the Spurs, it was the Spurs just playing sloppy,
trying to figure out the correct pace to run their offense. It resulted in
a few turnovers, & blocks.
But Pop nipped it in the bud, with his "nasty" speech.
& the Spurs played aggressive ball, allowing them to figure
out the pace. Jackson held down their fire-starter, and while
he held the head of the snake, the body gyrated and quivered
as it was being punctured repe ively by the Spurs' fearless lieutenant.
Even in victory, there's much to look forward to.
Do you think Danny Green is going to go 0-6 again? That's something
to doubt after seeing Danny tap into a reserve of over-looked potential
this season. He isn't the picture of consistency, but he is a fantastic
shooter.
Do you think the ice in Neal's veins will somehow melt after
performing so well in game 1? We all know the answer (but his defense
may remain lackluster)
Do you think the Spurs will procure 14 turnovers in the first half again?
Even after succeeding after adjusting to playing at the
Thunder's pace?
Do you think Parker will miss those jump shots next game, or
do you think he'll stand idly by as Ginobili carries the team alone?
Like I said before, Spurs in 5.
