Spurstalk, poundingtherock, 48 minutes of .

Why are they so much funnier, smarter, have more traffic, have a better page design and are just better than any other board/forum from other NBA teams?

My theory: Spurs fans in general are smarter, funnier, better than the average NBA fan. Kinda like what the Spurs are compared to the rest of the NBA.

    Your thoughts?

Spurstalk is the best because we don't have lame ass moderation.

The laissez faire approach by Kori and timvp certainly helps by enabling us to showcase our talents, but without talent the lack of moderation would be a negative instead of a positive. Can you imagine how much bigger of a hole LG would be with a similar approach to moderating? Spurs fans brilliance makes the magic happen tbh.

This was a nice thread, and it evokes insights applicable to other fields, so let me give my opinion.....

In the whole world, there is extreme emphasis on stupid individualistic values: egocentricity, the individual, money and power, force, etc......Our humanity is now lost, and the evil elite families of the world perpetuate this evil system. Obviously, this pattern (SINCE EVERYTHING IS A FRACTAL) imposes itself onto every ins ution. like the major sports communities of america and europe.....

The Spurs, humble and team-oriented, are special. The only other comparison I have is the NCC team of the Philippines (which was the core of the Ron Jacobs-led Philippine national teams, characterized by teamwork, humility and simplicity) In fact, the closest thing to Coach Pop is Coach Ron Jacobs himself!!!

My point is that the value systems of the Spurs radiate to their fans and community base. A sort of recursion. In fact, everything in the universe is recursive.

    Thats just my humble opinion.

    Love and peace to everyone.

Tbh, it's all because of Tim Duncan. He makes everyone better: teammates, bloggers, message board posters.

If you go upstairs, it's not really much different than any other website. The NBA forum doesn't get moderated for team smack, though, and that is what sets it apart from LG or Clutchfans.

Pass1st is one of the tiest posters on ST, but I agree with him here, tbh..

Upstairs is full of bad takes and homerism, just like other forums, but the NBA forum is legendary, due to the lack of moderation, along with some of the best posters and trolls on the Internet..

Also, I doubt there are other forums with such an abundance of colorful characters..Koriwhat and his calf tats, life as a secretary, and passion as a dangerous/unsafe tattoo artist..Ashraf and his chess playing, YouTube video terrorism..thispego and his mouthbreathing + his ugly son that was born from cuckolding..fiends looking for drugs from other SpursTalk posters..cobbler and his wheels..dozens of characters, tbh..

I think what that Stalin avatar person was trying to say through a drug induced haze is pretty much correct. The Spurs are the observant, detached, independent thinking (dare I say contrarian), results oriented person's team. We literally don't care about the drama, the soap operas, or the hero narrative. We just care about the game and how it's played. The same shows through on the boards.
