He put it on the floor once in the game and made an assist to Manu. He didn't pick up his dribble. Are you guys speaking in generalizations where you have all of Bonner's lowlights in your head when you see him? Do you just drift off into fantasy land while he's on the floor and you miss what he does?
If I heard someone saying that he tries to avoid fouling on breakaways or embarrassingly ducks away from contact when he's supposed to be protecting the rim I'd be on board with you. If you even talked about how he can't buy a call and runs like a I'd at least understand. The stuff you guys are making up is laughable.
Bonner spent his time on either Collison or Fisher and cheated way into the paint to help on defense. If you want to blame anyone for the turnaround, blame Gary Neal, who went Michael Finley on James Harden and let him get hot. Again, asking Bonner to take more shots when the Spurs scored 120 borders on brain dead.

Bonner doesn't deserve to be on this team tbh, he's a ball stopper, shot passer, possession killer, uncordinated ginger. If the ball goes through Bonner's hand and doesn't immediately flies for a 3 attempt then he ed the possession, no matter what he does, even if it results in a basket it's despite Bonner. He's still there because Tim or Pop must really like him.
And if the amnesty of Bonner allows to keep more great contributors like Green and Diaw then do it in an heartbeat.
No, the entire offensive system relies on the 3 pt shot and our second unit is a crucial edge on the remaining teams. So no you can't say no big deal, besides it's do ented that Pop tells players they have to shoot or they come off the court, seems like Bonner is so special that he's above the rules.

Ive watched all of the playoff games very closely...havent missed a play of the WCF and I can say with 100% certainty that Bonner is STILL playing too many minutes. His min should be given to Blair or Splitter/Diaw/Timmy...its really that simple. He isnt shooting with confidence and the team gets beaten up badly on the boards whenever he is in the game....I dont see what good he is doing the team at this point.

Overplay duncan..are you f-ing kidding me?? the guy hasnt been "overplayed" his entire career!! Pop is the only coach around that rests his stars and while I dont disagree w/ that(entirely) its not the reg season anymore!! Im pretty sure timmy will be ok, but if not there is still:
Tiago, Boris, Dejuan, and even Kawhi at the 4 makes more sense then bonner playing in a series like this. the spurs have more than enough 3 pt shooters...I would rather their "bigs" stick to the paint mostly..and the guards can spread the floor-
These threads wouldnt exist if Bonner didnt do his annual playoff choke job...only difference this year is the Spurs dont need him to do anything big to be successful...otherwise this board would be up in flames(if they did have to count on him)- doesnt mean we have to feel sorry for the guy-

I'm not really sure why this thread even exists. Bonner is hitting 40% of his three-pointers in these playoffs, playing his role, and not playing extended minutes. The threat of him and Boris Diaw hitting 3-pointers is part of what's keeping the Thunder from clogging the lane against the Spurs penetrating guards.
Is he a world-beater? Of course not. You don't get All-Star players (on non-rookie contracts) for less than $4 million.

Spurs drop 120 in the conference finals and still have their offense second guessed by random internet posters.
