He is the all-time leader of blocks in the playoffs.
Go sit in the corner, fail troll.
Blocks are overrated, tbh. Ibaka is the best blocker in the league and nobody would say he's the best defender.
Not attempting to really get caught up in this ridiculous discussion, but you hafta admit there's a difference between a Duncan block (keeping the ball in play) and an Ibaka block (ball ends up in 5th row).
Worked for Ben Wallace to get DPOY...
Plus, considering his defensive prowess has never been about athletic ability, it's even more impressive.
Ben got it for steals, offensive rebounds and just being able to handle Shaq consistently.
I thought he lead the league only in blocks when he won it... I might be wrong though...
I didn't mean that it was irrelevant, just overrated. Most people think blocks are the only stat that matters in defense
Only in 2002 iirc
Oh, ok. Well, then, we agree.
I still believe Timmy's a better defender regardless of his playoff record.
He is one of the top defensive bigmen, nobody can argue that even though he gets dunked on a lot.
Yeah.
But I figure getting dunked on is a lot like missing game-winners: you can't make 'em (shots/blocks) if you don't take 'em.
This thread is ridiculous. Please stop bumping it.
Lulz.
First, (and only) one to respond to Bigelow's gotry.
You're the one who bumped statfan's thread
LOL
It's funny because you're a dumbass.
lol Matt "El Matador" Bonner"
Useless
And Duncan has made all team 1st defense 8 times..
Nice defense Tim
Shotblockers get dunked on more...why is this thread even still around?
