Ever since gm.3, 1st quarter when lead was lost and weaknesses exposed, IMO this falls on Pop.

The Thunder. They have beaten the Spurs after making adjustments.

    Let's look at it:

1st round: Jazz; unimpressive team that barely made the playoffs. No surprise a team that moves the balll well swept them.

2nd round: Clippers; mostly new players, two of the stars hurt and Del Negro as a coach. They still put the Spurs down what, 27 in a game? Spurs fought back and won, but that little run showed me some things.

WCFl; Spurs started off hot at home, moving the ball but the Thunder hung in and still lost both games, but back in OKC the Thunder regrouped and kicked the living out of the Spurs in game 1. Then game 2 SAS made some adjustments, but they are doing pretty much everything they can with the turds they have for bigs outside of Duncan, and since Pop didn't develop a Tim/Tiago presence on the floor in the past 2 seasons, that was pretty much not going to happen either. Offense via TP works when the floor is spread, but the role players choked, and Pop didn't adjust in time to save himself a game. Back in SA the Thunder weathered the emotional "back at home" attack and the Spurs made mistake after mistake again, went to hero ball, back to mistakes, back to hero ball and the Thunder just continued playing their brand of ball.

It's not a shocker to me if the Spurs lose. They are not at the level of the Thunder. They don't have the speed, athleticism or shooting ability or defense that the Thunder have. The Spurs score by ball movement but that led to turnovers against a team that had time to adjust. Add to that the fact that the Spurs got into the one on one style of play and you can see that, though it was a decent effort, the Thunder are too good to beat by offense alone.
