less freebies = less top-of-the-rim camera with the team's website = less money...

They couldn't make it more obvious if they tried, IMO...

I never thought I'd say this, but Joey Crawford saved the Spurs' season in Game 6. Thank God he's the only ref with a big enough ego not to be influenced by the OKC crowd.

I'm going to borrow a page from BRHornet here, and anybody that watched these series can tell you the Spurs were the better team on every game but Game 3. I feel for Boston too, they should also be up 3-1 if not for "divine" intervention.

Commercial interests trump everything in this league. It's the reason the league extended the LAL-OKC series to 5 games and last week's lottery takes the cake for rigging of the season, tbh.

It's an entertaining league, no doubt, but you should always keep in mind it's just a show, IMO.

A lot of them weren't especially early in the game when they called 4-5 straight fouls on OKC.

Joey undoubtedly has either Game 6 of this series or Game 7 if it happens.

My hunch is that Joey's got Game 6 and either Dan Crawford or Monty McCutchen would have gotten the Game 7 assignment.

FWIW FWD knows his ref stuff pretty damn well

For those who are inclined to assess the Spurs chances relative to the officials who will call the game, I think the odds are very, very high that Joey Crawford will be the crew chief for Game 6.
Redemption time Joe. You said the Tim ejection episode was on your list of regrets. If we're being totally honest you and he are running out of time to make things right. Ride off into the sunset with your middle finger casting a long shadow all the way back to Stern.
