Guard Gary Neal was not on board the Spurs’ flight from San Antonio to Oklahoma City on Tuesday afternoon, coach Gregg Popovich said.
“He’s not feeling well,” Popovich told the Express-News.
Asked if it was anything serious, Popovich said, “No.”
In 15 minutes off the bench Monday night, Neal scored 2 points by sinking a pair of free throws. He was 0 for 6 from the field in Game 5, including 0 for 3 from 3-point territory.
I would like to have been a fly on that wall.
and Bonner and Green made the flight![]()
“He’s not feeling well,” Popovich told the Express-News.
What's the big deal? Haven't you ever taken a sick day?
if I was sick I would be on flight and hope to be at game the next night even if I could not play
He must have hurt his clitoris last night
Maybe he might infect the team
Maybe that's why he had no lift on his jumper last night
For his sake and his future I'd hope he is sick. If one quit on the team and didn't go to OKC, he'd become toxic immediately...
Let me guess how it all went down. (In Pop's office)
Pop: "Gary, you suck balls as a point guard. You're the worst backup point guard I've ever seen."
Gary: "I'm not a point guard; I'm a shooting guard."
Pop: "Gary, you're not feeling well."
Awesome. Maybe our best fourth quarter player and most fearless shooter is not making the trip.
I guess that means we will get more Danny Green! Yay!
Lmao @ Gary Neal being the fourth best player..
rolls down hill . .
Bingo.
If you aren't capable of playing effectively, stay home. I can't stand when players are hurt/sick and end up hurting their team even more because they want to look "tough."
Link wasn't working for me. Does it say he's out for sure tomorrow? I mean couldn't he make a flight tomorrow and still be available?
Does it still matters?
so does this mean Patty Mills time?
He will be shooting from San Antonio.
Seeing as he's supposedly signed up for next year, yes it does matters.
Nealtook two 3s last night he takes in every game he plays in
Both were line drives that barely hit the front of the rim
say what you will about Neal but the guy hits big shots, tough 3s with regularity.
Those jumpers he took yesterday were no more I'll advised than the shots he's made his career off of.
they looked ugly and flat
There may be something to that, Neal is often one of those oh no don't shooo- oh great shot. His shot looked like crap last night flat.
Green may miss his shots but at least play defense. Neal is Bonner at the SG...
Said it since day 1 and hasn't changed.
