I'm sorry, is this a thread about Murderball?
How many you win in a row doesn't mean . You don't get a trophy for that.
At least we made them adjust and work for the series, unlike their previous compe ion who bowed out.![]()
I'm sorry, is this a thread about Murderball?
This is the thread about the real NBA Finals... SAS-OKC
Don't disagree with any of that. I was cautiously optimistic about the Spurs all year and even more so during the streak. The Lakers were my biggest worry, and after them, OKC, so I agree their odds to win the le were as good as any other of the contending teams.
oh ok. For some reason, i thought it was about murderball. hmm....
Cobbler just wants to desperately call this a choke-job to deflect from the Lakers choke-job against OKC, which was the biggest choke of the year thus far. Up 7 with 2 minutes left and couldn't win the game. Then up 13, at home, with 9 minutes left and blew it.
Don't get me started.... The worst defensive team in the west, the Nuggets, taking them to 7 games![]()
lolwut? No choke compares to Memphis in Game 1
I bet the odds for blowing two games in the same series in that fashion are way lower than 6.7%. It's gotta be like a 100 to 1.
Forgot about that one.![]()
co-sign... i almost forgot about that game![]()
You guys are so sensitive!
The Lakers choked big time. I said so when they did it and I say so now. But the Lakers were not the favorite to win and still battled but yes eventually choked away two games. Big time monumental chokes. Facts are facts.
If the Spurs lose this series and especially if the lose tomorrow night it is and will always be considered a monumental choke as well. Does it take anything away from the Lakers choke. Not one single bit.
Difference is, I am man enough to accept it and you guys whine and obsess about my team and spin your loses. And it is oh so cute. Amusing to say the least!
Ohhhh and Mugen, you really need to up your game and get some new material. Grade school smack doesn't bode well for your intellectual prowess.![]()
Sensitive about takes? No
You just said last night that "a few bounces" and they move on. Now they choked big time? Which one is it?
You're not man enough to say one thing and stick with it
The only thing legendary about you are your ty takes and homerism![]()
The Spurs are playing the NBA Finals. Of course it's a dogfight. cobbler can only watch while he wishes his team would still be playing for #17
![]()
Figure of speech moron. Ie. Kobe with the turnover to Durant. Blake and Kobe not connecting on the pass that went out of bounds. Blake missing the last second three. Gasol pussying by turning it over rather than taking it to the basket. But for a few plays it could have been completely different. Those were choke plays and what I was exactly referring to with the few bounces comment.
I know you are not the sharpest tool in the shed but jeeeeeeez. Whine and spin away Nono. It's what you do and it amuses me to no end!![]()
It's not even worth discussing it with you why the Spurs potential loss to Thunder can't really be considered a choke-job, because you're intellectually dishonest. If you really knew basketball like you profess, you would see the Spurs have been simply outplayed.
Game 1: Spurs down by 9 going into the 4th. Took everything they have to rally back and win that game.
Game 2: OKC adjusted midway through the 3rd, putting Thabo on Parker, and cut a 22 point lead down to 6 in like 8 minutes.
Game 3: Using their new found adjustment, OKC blew the doors off the Spurs.
Game 4: Spurs looked poised to steal one in OKC in the 4th, then Durant scorched them for 16 straight points, and on many of those possessions, Durant was actually defended well. He simply raised his game.
Game 5: Spurs find themselves down 13, at home, in the 4th quarter. They managed to charge late, but fell short.
With the way this series has played out, all the evidence points to OKC simply being the better team. It's not as if the Spurs blew huge leads in every game. Once OKC figured out how to match up with the Spurs's pick-and-roll, that was it.
Here's hoping the Spurs pull one out of their ass tomorrow, but you know me, the eternal pessimist, so I expect the Spurs to lose by double digits.
Nope. You are playing in the Western Conference Finals no matter how hard you try spin that too.
Yikes!
We will be playing for #17 soon enough. In the meantime I get to watch my Kings wrap up the most dominant NHL post season in modern hockey history. Takes a lot of sting away from the Laker choke job.
Who's sensitive now?
None of those plays prevent the Thunder from moving on. You couldn't even hold serve at home.
You would know a thing or two about whining and spinning![]()
This is officially the NBA Finals, as clearly stated on this thread.
Do you want to bet that whoever wins the OKC-SAS goes to win it all?
Not with Mke Br
wn you won't.
if i were to make up a team with 3 great players then my choices would be a playmaker at PG, a scoring G/F and a dominant C. our squad is pretty malformed tbh just like NY's![]()
6.7%
good luck tomorrow night!
Rememba det time when cobbler said Mike Brown's game would translate well to the playoffs?![]()
And those odds mean what in this series?
What happened in previous series that were 2-0 is irrelevant to this current match up. Now if you can somehow prove that this Spurs team is a 93.3% favorite against this Thunder team, then that statistic is meaningful. Otherwise, it's just a bull stat the media throws out to create drama.
I said that too. And it did. But Kobe had other plans and choked like a got.
No. It is OFICIALLY the WCF to see who plays in the NBA FINALS.
Nope, cause as I stated all along I was rooting for the Spurs and should you lose then OKC as I want the le to stay in the west. Been my position since the day the Lakers were out.
Good luck!
