    Just wrote this on FB:

"Is this the last stand of the Spurs? Will tonight mark the end of the Tim Duncan era? Well, chances to win in Oklahoma and force a game 7 are slim, but I hope the Spurs at least fight as if there is no tomorrow ... because for them there is none if they lose"

Did anyone catch this in Game 5:

    Skip Bayless ‏@RealSkipBayless

Maybe this time Manu doesn't step on ref's foot before attempting big late shot. Turned ankle before G5's last shot. WHAT WAS REF DOING???

If we put the same type of ball pressure on RW...we'll be able to force them into more things they don't want to do

We'll know who wins this game 5 minutes in
Exactly. Spurs will get off to a great start, probably lead by double digits 5 minutes in. Then the will hit the fan, over and over and over again.

Seen it too many times in the Duncan/Pop era ... and that was with a vintage Tim and Manu. Now we have old Tim and Manu to go along with mental midgets like Bonner, Green and Blair.

    It ain't gonna be pretty.

Scary -- since 1998, Spurs are 2-7 in road games when facing elimination: they won Game 6 at Dallas in 2006 and won Game 7 at New Orleans in 2008.

You could say that the Spurs have gotten better over time in this spot; since 2006, the Spurs have faced elimination on the road 4 times and are 2-2 in that spot.

Then again, you could say that the Spurs haven't ever won in that spot without Robert Horry on the roster (or Bruce Bowen . . . or Michael Finley . . . or Brent Barry . . . or Fabricio Oberto . . . . )

Yeah, and if you think that's bad, guess their record when:

    • They just lost the previous game at home.
    • So now they're facing elimination
    • And playing on the road.

    Can you say 0-fer?

Have to tip my hat to OKC; just a team that is unbeatable for even 1 game.

Spurs have absolutely no chance in this game. Is there any way that they can file a forfeit with the league so they can save the energy for next season?

OKC is so proficient at the mid-range game; they are a team that can consistently shoot over 55% mid-range regardless of the situation, opponent or who is taking the shot (Ibaka, Perkins, Collison...). That is why they are the 2012 World Champions.

Thunder beat Pacers in 2015 in 6 for the 4-peat.

If I had to pick one team in the history of the game to make two-pointers from 15-to-23 feet, I'd pick these Thunder. They simply DO NOT miss. Never. It's impossible for them to have a cold shooting game. Not even one.

Can't believe Durant's face magically cleared up in just a couple of days.

Very bad sign for the Spurs.

Well it is too bad that Durant picked this game to surpass his own Jordanesque performance from earlier in the series.

On top of that Ibaka goes perfect (14-14 this time) for the second time in a series---this was just too much for the Spurs to overcome.

    Thunder will sweep the Heat.

Maybe forfeit next season as well, and really look ahead.

    Good call.

Play Joseph, Anderson, Byars, Bonner, and Blair for 48 a game and rest everyone else for the 2013-14 campaign.

What's amazing is that the Thunder have not had a bad turnover game. It's like they are going to play 6 straight games winning the turnover battle.
