Parker should stay because he's still young and a heck of a player - but do not get confused with today's game. This is his team and he disappeared for most of the series.
Let me put it this way: for most of the series HE CHOKED
No Captain Jack?![]()
Dang I'm screwing up tonight! Yes add him.
I really hope the Spurs can find a way to package neal and blair for a lotto pick. They are too much of a liability on defense.
We'll have the same team minus James Anderson + a new rookie or two.
Duncan (re-sign, 1-2 years, then retirement)
Parker (still under contract for 3 years)
Ginobili (still under contract)
Leonard (will stay with us at least until rookie deal expires)
Diaw might get re-signed, but honestly it's more a wonder of, does he want to? more than, should we or will we? Diaw is a good fit, but I'm not sure if we'll pay the man or if he'll even want to stay. Hopfully we re-sign him though.
Gary Neal may end up getting traded or released. He sucked this year tbh. I suspect they'll go with Mills next season as the backup PG indstead. Neal didn't do much this year. He was also a huge liability both on defense and handling the ball. All he can do is score. If he doesn't improve, imo he's gone.
Mills should be back. With TJ Ford retired, and Neal being a liability as our backup PG, keeping Mills is a safe bet. He's as good of a scorer as Neal imo. . .only he's faster, and a little better defensively. With more practice time, I suspect he'll fit in better too.
Blair may end up getting traded (possibly to move up in draft). While Blair has his uses off the bench, it seems Pop completely dislikes him at this point. I don't see the point of even keeping him around when Pop's just going to keep him in the doghouse. Blair's gone, hopefully we get something back since he isn't a bad player at all.
Jackson has one more year left on his deal, but I suspect he will be traded mid-season for a late first round draft pick and another inferior expensive one year player or something.
Splitter is a huge disappointment right now. But, he'll obviously be back. Not only do we not have any bigs really, they're rare and we won't be able to replace him with anything remotely better anyway.
Bonner: Unfortunately, he'll be back. At least he helps during the regular season despite being a ghost in the playoffs.
Green: I suspect he'll be back too because he's cheap. Don't expect him to start anymore though. Manu will likely be starting again and subbing out early then coming back to lead the bench like he did in 2010-2011.
Corey Joseph: Who the knows. Imo he was a waste of a pick.
Free agents: None. We rarely if ever get any unless they're scrubs. If we replace roster, it'll be 1-2 scrubs + 2 late draft picks (scrubs too)
