hush little baby, don't you cry.
Get a grip on what? That you got swept and had no chance in the series????????????
Spurs very easily could have won it.
You're lucky Dallas didn't have to play the Spurs at all last season and you ran into Lechoke and a dumber version of Westbrook.
Take that one ring and shove it up your ass.
Edit : And give us Dirk while you're at it.
hush little baby, don't you cry.
I think this was the hardest loss for the Spurs since 2006 - the last year they should have won the championship.
2008 was hard too, but we had just won the championship the year before.
2009 and 2010 were relatively bad seasons, so it wasn't as shocking when we lost.
2011 was hard, but it was a first-round exit, and the Spurs had a weak finish to the regular season.
2012, like 2006, will be remembered as a year the Spurs should have won it all.
This loss sucks, but it felt like we lost to the better team. OKC hit some fluky shots, but they looked so much more confident than we did in Games 3-6. They deserved the series even if the fourth quarter officiating was amongst the worst the Spurs have seen since 2006.
just got through reading commentary given in the fourth quarter. It's weird to see respected posters like Baseline Bum, DPG, and MIG gripe about the officiating, but I really can't disagree.
Folks, there should have been a game 7 in San Antonio scheduled for this upcoming Friday.
I can say, really only 2004 comes close to bumming me out like this. Last year, as much as an early round exit sucked, it never got my hopes up.
This just hurts so bad....
I don't know much about this DPG, but he gets it. Yes, you should be proud of this team win or lose. But I think DPG realizes what a rare and special opportunity that was lost last night. Yes, some of it was due to shaky calls. But Manu, only had 10 points. Green and Tiago were useless. The Spurs were the favorites just a week ago and now that got swept out the backdoor. without major changes this team is done a legit le contender. They will be good next year just like this year and the year before. But to win les you cant keep flaming out of the western playoffs after having HCA and not question the for ude of this current squad. Manu was nails last game and lacking this one. Only SJAX was able to play consistently well as my Thunder rolled the past 4 games. As well as my team played, and I do think we are the better team, no way we win without the help of a choke from the Spurs. That helped us more than the refs.
But I wouldnt blame Pop. He saw the sink shipping and tried everything he could to plug the holes on the anic. Yall just hit and iceberg, Iceberg Slim aka The Durantula aka KDtrey35!!!
Hats off to the Thunder...you guys are building a dynasty! Best of luck in the Finals!![]()
Just remember... Legends and Legacies live on and on.
FOREVER.
They never truly die...![]()
thank god I wasn't posting in this blog when the game was going on.
I wonder if there are posters that still think the Spurs would have beaten the Heat in the NBA Finals if they had been there.![]()
This has been my one consolation to the debacle that happened in the WCF. Had the Spurs made it to the Finals, they probably would've gotten stomped by the Heat.
Maybe it's just cognitive dissonance, but at least our perfect Finals record is still intact.
I don't know. Duncan would have had a field day scoring on Bosh and Battier. Even Tiago would probably have done fine.
And why is that? Had they made it to the Finals, the epic collapse would have never happened and they would have still been the hottest team in basketball headed to the Finals with HCA. Why would there have been a good chance that they would have been stomped by the Heat?
Quality Take![]()
Lol what have you got?
That 2012 Heat team was arguably their strongest Finals squad. They had the Big 3 playing at a high level plus Chalmers, and got solid contributions across the board (Haslem, Battier, Miller). The 2013 Heat were close but still needed to be bailed out by a ing Ray Allen miracle to repeat.
2012 Heat decimated the Thunder's Big 3, who were fresh off backdoor sweeping of the Spurs. People got all enamored with that 20 game winning streak (myself included), but once the pressure got put on, that Spurs team buckled. Had they managed to overcome the Thunder, I still don't think a match-up between them and the Heat could've been anything better than a toss-up.
Dont defend that bad take. Spurs getting stomped by the Kang, good one
Plus we got cheated out of the Finals by the bull reffing in this game lol
