Yes, 2nd seed.
Call it now and predict the seed. I'm saying 4th seed if everyone's healthy.
Idk about 2nd seed, Thunder, Jazz, and Grizz will all be better, and we will be one year older. Rockets also can be compe ive as well. The West will be stacked next year.
Depends on the FO
But I'd say 5-8 seed is where they gonna be and 1st r exit.
2013 I see more injuries for the spurs. This year was too lucky on that aspect. They might compete one more year in the playoffs and then just try to rebuild for something like 20 yrs on the small market
You forgott the athletic and better Clippers, and still Mavs are alive, as well as lakers
Barring a bunch of injuries, Spurs and Thunder will be back in the WCF next year.
3 seed or 4 seed probably.
ive been hearing this every year since the scola trade from rocketfans....lol
4th seed, i think we are still good enough to have another crack next season, will still be compe ive.
2 seed if healthy.
if a major player misses 2+ months, 4 seed.
We'll be top 4 I think. A lot depends on who we pick up this year. Duncan's resigning for one more year and hopefully we bring back Diaw, but Spurs need a legitimate big man to come in and help, and I don't see us getting that. Hibbert's the only legit Center out there, and I still think he's a little soft and overrated. Indiana prob won't let him go anyways. We're not going to win with Splitter as our Center or even back up center. And our European projects aren't good enough to help us win a le. Unless we make a big splash, this is most likely it. OKC will be even better next year. This is the probably the end.
NEED AN ATHLETIC STRETCH 4 WHO WON'T BACK DOWN ON DEFENSE!
Then the Spurs will be back in the WCF.
You have to remember that this summer is an Olympic year and that means that TP & Manu, and Boris, should he return...are all playing in London.
Top four seed. I'd take a 5th seed if the right team is in the fourth spot.
Jack can give minutes as a smallball 4, so I don't think that's a huge need. The Spurs biggest need is for Splitter to get in mid-late season form when he was killing at the basket, playing great post defense, and hitting free throws at a reasonable rate. Bringing Diaw back and having him in shape would be huge too. The only roster upgrade I think this team desperately needs is a legit backup PG so that Neal can go back to his role of being a shooter off the bench who isn't required to run the offense.
Easily. Barring major injuries of course.
We have a great team. Most people won't remember and because we lost to an elite team it seems that we aren't that good. But wow we were good this year but OKC was just phenomenal.
We will be #1 or 2 seed again, I expect to not see Bonner very much anymore. I think this is it for him. We finally saw Pop yank him, something I never thought I would see.
-Kawhi is amazing
-Green will be better
-hopefully we solve our backup PG problem
-Diaw fits good with this team
-a whole year with Jackson will be AWESOME!
-Splitter needs to become more physical but I still like his play overall
-Neal is okay, just don't want him as pg anymore. He makes big shots, did time and time again this year. I'd rather keep him but don't want him running point anymore.
-I don't know what happens to Blair........
-Duncan understands his body and will be ready once again
-Manu will be Manu (limited minutes in regular season)
-Parker <--- the only one I am worried about. We were a great team because of him. Will he have the motivation again? Can he do it again for 82 games and another long playoff run?
Are you satisfied with the reserve bigs on this roster?
Probably around the 3rd seed. Also thread le is stupid, as if the Spurs won't make the playoffs.
I like the odds of Splitter getting back into form. Another shotblocker would be nice, but I don't think it's as big of a problem as the lack of a backup point.
just another regular season team making up the numbers in the playoffs
beats hovering around outside the top8 always lookin in during april
Wow. That's interesting.
I think the lack of depth in the frontcourt is more serious. Somehow, I can't get the thoughts of last year's Memphis series out of my head - not to mention watching the Thunder waltz, unescorted down the lane in getting to the rim for another rim-rattling dunk.
Backup PG is important, but to me, an ass-kicking PF/C is priority.
lets assume OKC gets the 1 seed. is there really a team in the west that appears ready to step up? the clippers will probably improve, and i can see them taking the 2 seed. the 3 seed and the southwest division is still ours for the taking. i dont see memphis being dramatically improved, and gay is being shopped
Mavs will be slightly better..Nuggets and Rockets will be the same..Clippers will be better..Lakers could go either way..Grizzlies will be slightly better..Wolves will be better..
The West won't be noticeably better next year..Spurs will still be a top 4 team..
we'll make the playoffs, arguable 1 or 2 seed again with the exact same system and untouched roster. Why? Our system is pretty much flawless in the regular season. We lost our arguably best player for 3/4 of the season, and yet we were still no 1.
Will we go deep in the playoffs? Probably not. With age to our core players (Sjax, Timmy, Manu, Tony, Diaw), we're going to lose a step, while we only gain in potential with Kawhi, and maybe Patty Mills. Everyone else is more or less going to be the same.
We probably gotta do some shopping, to get more help and future-wise. Besides Kawhi and the big 3, I'm okay with dealing pretty much anyone to get like decent 1st round pick this year, or some athletic talented size.
I would love an 8th seed but playing our best basketball at that time.
When this team is the underdog they perform like no one.
