Noticed that as well. As if the bench wouldn't of been yelling all sorts of BS when he shot it.
When Harden showed Duncan, Jack went after him few possessions later. He was taunting the crowd more obviously after a previous three. So the T was probably a consequence of that, not for the look he gave the Thunder bench. The T was exaggeration, the ref should have warn him first, but it wasn't a blatant call, like many others tbh.

Perhaps it was a BS call...and perhaps Jackson will learn next time not to talk to one of the most respected guys in the history of the NBA and soon to be HOF'er.
The unfortunate thing about that is Harden will still be able to get away with this...
I personally don't give a if they call taunting a tech or not. I just want to see it called both ways. It's bull to see one team showing all their swagger and , but when the other team tries it, they get t'd up.
To me, that's why the Thunder won this series, They got on a hot streak, they got y and they got up in San An's faces giving them the confidence to pull off the W's. Jackson getting T'd up. That was pretty much game right there. Like letting air out of a bicycle tire. The Spurs were still in that game (hence the series) before that point.
Shut the up, Pussy. Every time James Harden makes a 3 point shot he does some kind of taunt. And when Jackson makes a 3pointer he gets T'd up, even though he didn't even say a single word? GTFO here with your bull , fool.
Well tbh, after 2007, the Spurs will never make it to the finals unless their guys start pumping their chest, talking as much trash as they can, dating celebrities and establishing themselves as an entertaining bunch to the masses. Those ratings killed our chances of ever going back to the finals unfortunately. It's over for this dynasty no matter how good we do sadly.
I will acknowledge that by the letter of the law, that's a T. It's a weakass, bull T, since I would hardly consider looking over at the bench "taunting", but it could be perceived as such, and taunting the opponent bench will get you T'd up pretty quickly in most cir stances.
What I don't understand, however...is how it's permissible for players who are on the sidelines to stand up, jump, taunt, and yell at a player who is in the game WHILE he is shooting a shot, and that is not considered "taunting" (not to mention disruptive to the game), but somehow, it's a violation for a player to look back at them. If it goes one way, it should have to go another.
Bull rule, and Jackson got bit by it.
That T was ridiculous... You have their assistant coach making blatant jesters towards the line even before Jackson starts shooting. Jackson just gave him the "I can do this all day long, if you keep that up all night long" look. If anything, I felt the couch deserved a T. But once again a no call on OKC.... Figures.
Spurs fan bias in this entire thread. Jackson was pushing the line with his antics. Just a little too much with each shot he made. Was he not talking to the OK Bench on the last T?
Jack just responded to something that was probably bull trash talk from OKC bench while he was shooting that 3. Why not give techs to Jack and bench then? Why not just warn everybody? Damn you refs, I'm sure we could've won more than 2 games against OKC if it wasn't for the refs.
Even the annoying-ass Reggie Miller said he made a career of that. Also Bruce Bowen says hi![]()
There's no vid of Cheeks' behavior before the SJax's shot?
I get tired of Jackson running his mouth every time he makes a 3. He got what he deserved.
Way to take a stand. I respect you.
Nobody really talks about the JVG thing (to the delight of stern) but that was huge. Biggest story about the NBA's manipulation of games by refs except for Donaghy. You had a ref calling a coach as a friend to let him know they are in it for a player. Probably why you'll never see JVG coach another game.
Mo Cheeks was a pussy who cried and couldn't handle playing in SA so he lived out of a hotel until Larry Brown traded him. Screw that guy.
He was taunting while Jack was shooting and Jack gave him a look to tell him to shut the up. That's basketball. Who cares, let them play. It was a bull call. Not sure if it cost the game by any stretch but it was part of long line of sketchy officiating.
But in a way I hope this forces more attention on to what a pussy league it has become. The refs adjudicate like cheap judges on daytime television, catering to every cultural bias possible. I thought in the playoffs the refs swallow the whistle...yeah, those days are gone. I hope there are more bad calls in the finals, for one because I don't care about those teams, and two, with the Truehoop dorks pontificating for rule changes, maybe the refereeing and flopping will get a review by the league...yeah, right.
