Yea, some good points made in that video... but we lost game 5 at home. We played poorly and if you didn't think Kevin Durant was going to get his free throws you're crazy. He's a 6'9 shooting guard that weighs 130 lbs, if you touch him he's going to get the call. No point in agonizing over this . LeBron vs Durant in the Finals will be a free throw fest. Everyone will get their great finals match up and we will watch hero ball and monkey ball for 7 games until someone (LeBron) finally chokes.

We lost. It sucks. No excuses. Move on.
Agreed. Making these types of vids puts us in that desperate, whiny Kings/Suns/Mavs fan territory. Which is ridiculous considering how successful the Spurs have been the past decade.

The Kings have every right to whine about the 2001 playoffs. That was evidence number one that the league picks winners when it needs ratings.

The point of the video is to get a better check and balance on calls - replays, challenges, etc. Maybe an additional ref if needed... whatever it takes.

And it takes away from how amazing the Thunder were in this series.

I think Stern does have his hand in big games, he wants OKC in the Finals, Durant is very popular, look at what he did during the off-season. Getting publicity for going off in Rucker Park, people love Durant. Three time scoring champ. He and LeBron are probably the most popular players in the NBA, Heat and OKC is what Stern wants. So I personally think he tells refs to influence games but not too much, just favor a team, but don't rig it. Call me crazy, I probably am, but I've watched enough NBA over the years and have seen this so many times, I just can't think refs are fans of certain teams and want to help them, I think Stern gets involved. He wants money, he could care less about basketball.

There were a few calls you missed. Midway through the 4th, Durant had the ball and Leonard played picture perfect defense, but Durant airballed and the refs and Stern can't have their precious Durant looking bad on the big stage, so there was a really late whistle and Durant got two free throws. So many times Durant made bad plays, but refs refused to let him look bad so they called a foul.

Haha I just posted that video on my Facebook and a bandwagon Heat fan and Spurs hater posted this comment.

"about the only legit gripe on that replay was the Parker foul. Ginobli was STILL MOVING when he went to set that screen after the pass. Last time I checked, you don't set a screen in a lunge position."

Man I don't know who to blame more, Stern or idiot fans all over the country.

We got calls our way too. The only calls that really pissed me off we're the tech on Jack and Westbrooks tomahawk chop on Leonard.

Either way, the better team won. Get over it.

clearly an illegal screen by Ginobli, no issue there....you need only to pause the vid at 2:19 to see that huge gap between Ginobli and Harden from when Ginobli passed the ball to Leonard....he should have stood still soon as he passed it if he wanted to set a screen, but then him and Harden wouldnt even have collided had he done so

We need to get over it!

We were the better team and the NBA robbed us. It's not like they are doing it the first time (imagine beening a Kings fan!).

Actually I wouldn't be surprised if people in 30 year would call it the "Stern era" like people do with the MLB "steroid era".

But in our own interest, that hopefully wont be the case, coz all of our championships would get an *

OKC was the better team trough the series, that's true, but they would have lost the the game 6 under normal cir stances. Not sure about game 7, the big three would have been tired.

OKC erased the lead in the third by their own. The Spurs were trying to make a run in the 4-th but the refs didn't allowed that.

The better team may have won.... but who's to say they should have?

Some controversial calls played a pivotal role in determining the series.

Couldn't the Spurs, or any team that gets screwed over by the officials file a grievance against the league for it? I really don't know how this works....just an innocent question.
The league will hear grievances, but only when there's a question about how a rule was applied. So basically the process works like this:

Team: "The ref called a charge and it wasn't a charge."
    League: "Tough ."

Team: "The ref incorrectly called a clear path foul on a play that did not meet the criteria in the rulebook."
    League: "You're right. Tough ."

There were a myriad of things that occurred that caused us to lose, not just the officiating.

But to say the officials didn't have a hand in it is just plain stupid.
Some of these guys on this thread sound like baseball apologists - "we don't use replay in baseball because the human element of bad calls is part of the game"
    GTFO

Maybe the league will make it up to us when we suck with a nice draft pick! KD is the new face of the league, the whole good guy vs bad guy angle with Lebron. Plus KD's new movie needs to be plugged during the Finals! The league knows how to return a favor, I'll give'em that much!!!

In game 4 I watched the replay on NBA tV and there was one sequence where neal got hit 3 times near the face by harden and the refs looking right at them did nothing. He even got hit when he past the ball.

The NBA has ed teams before like this, but not 4x champs, and someone of Tim Duncan's caliber.

Oh gawd why cant you be happy the nba is going plant the seeds for the next generation of bandwagon riders? I am going out to get my Ultimate NBA fan pack jersey and flat hat set of Both Home and Away shirts of Harden Westbrook, Durant AND James and Wade shirts. BUt wait it gets better; Depending on who is the home team I will wear their shirt, changing into each three for the first half. Depending on who is winning in the fourth, I will change the jersey if necessary. So ultimately not only will I be a fan of the winning team, ill look like a badass on the street. Thus being the Ultimate Nba Fan!!!!

Yeah, that's about how it goes, see the Brent Barry mugging by Fisher with the game on the line ... "Oh, we're so sorry we ed you out a chance to tie up a critical playoff game. Our bad. Too bad we will do nothing about it."

The foul on Leonard was an all-time bad call. He literally got mauled.
Same exact that happened to Rondo in Game 2. Unacceptable.
