The Spurs are wasting a roster spot on a big by having Bonner on the team. That roster spot would be better utilized on a player that can contribute to the frontline depth.
you're right, is hard to get a big man who can shoot 3s and Bonner is the perfect example that we are still looking

The Spurs don't need a big who shoots 3s. They need a big who can play some defense, clog the middle, block some shots.
that would be the best choice but we're stuck with Bonner who can't shot or play defense
Ideally, we need both.

Pop's got it all wrong. You don't look for a bigman who can shoot 3's. You look for a bigman who can defend, rebound, and score. If they can shoot 3's that's a bonus.
Fans never understood that Horry always did a whole lot more than shoot 3's.
Pop's got to coach for the regular season pretty close to the way he coaches for the playoffs. That means no Bonner/Blair as your second and third bigs because that's not going to work in the playoffs.
