A Dog thread

What breed(s) do you currently own? Is it house trained? How many dogs do you own? Are the indoor? What kind/brand of dog food do you feed it? Blah blah blah




I own two dogs, about to be three in a couple of weeks. Breeds are German Shepherd and Golden Retriever. Third dog will be a 2 month old black Labrador retriever.

Both of my dogs are a little over 1 year...I got them both one week apart from each other.

The protective instincts of my GSD have rubbed off on the Golden Retriever . It's hilarious to see tbh.

Both are indoor dogs and it took me a little over two weeks to housetrain both. I am about to put them into this hunting training program for the summer. I feed them Innova hard food. I'll upload pics later when I have access to a desktop or laptop.

Well not really. I mean if someone clicks this thread, one would think they have a dog to begin with. But I get your point.



What happened to him? And why wouldn't you get another?

Dont know the full details but he got sick or something. Got sent to some relatives.

The next time I saw him he was in terrible shape, had one messed up leg and was on his last breath it seem.

Apparently my parents sent him away to die. I still get upset with my parents for doing that .

And for the other question, I just dont have the time anymore. That and they dont allow pets on my building so yeah, that's that.

I have a pure yorkie. They are seen as a girlie dog, but they are awesome. The lil guy loves to wrestle and is super smart.

My next dog will be a Goberian. Husky/Retriever mix.

i have a smooth collie and a bullmastiff. going to get a rott after the bullmastiff passes though. great dogs, they are just too stubborn and not very trainable. rottweilers are very similar except much more obedient.

Got a Schnauzer named Jonah. Terrific dog other than how much he barks, which is a common trait for the breed.

Last dog we had was a Norwegian Elkhound. Big damn dog - weighed over 100 lbs, although they're normally closer to German Shepherd size. Bred for hunting moose and bear. He was a great family dog, wonderful with the kids, but sometimes overly protective of the house. Didn't like other dogs or strangers much.

That was a few years ago. We've been considering getting another dog recently (a nice MEDIUM-SIZED dog), but when he died it broke my heart so I'm hesitant.

Just lost my 18 year old mix a couple of months ago. Got her in my early 20's when I was single so she'd been with me through dating, marriage, kids, parents passing. Probably the one constant thing through those years. Really tough.

Got a bichon/ king cavelier mix, and a big pom. Pom is so big some people thought he was a mini chow.
