Jackson is on contract for another year.
The Spurs are not even a week removed from the post season and players like Tony Parker are already getting asked questions like "How would he like KG on the team next season." I personally think we need to play that card by ear and see whats happens in this years draft, tbh. As for KG, I feel he is a s of his former self and if the Spurs ever want to shake the stereotype of being "old" and "boring" going after Garnett is not a step in the right direction.
List of things I want to see/hear about before Spurs Talk turns into KG Talk
- Make sure TP and Manu get pleanty of rest before the Olympics.
- Free Agency / Draft Night
- Resigning of Jackson and signing of other key players.
- Report on Kawhi Leonard and the other young players development.
- Tims Contract.
- Tims health and other Spurs training.
- Olympics Report.
- Summer Camp.
What do ya'll summers lists look like?
Jackson is on contract for another year.
KG is old but by no means boring he brings a at ude.
So if KG is a s of his former self averageing about 20 and 10, and one win from the finals...then what is Timmy?
Mk well scratch that.
A s of his former self?
Nobody wants to see him yell at the padding on goalpost anymore, his bit is tired.
If he's blocking shots, grabbing boards, and hitting his mid range yell and pound away till the cows come home.
So I'm guessing you didn't like Tims play this year
I am looking forward to summer league next month, hopefully games are televised on regular cable.
Didn't read but KG> yo thoughts clown
plz lord make him stop creating useless threads so i can post pad
SL games are hardly ever broadcast at all.
Are you seriously opposed to the idea of a Garnett-Duncan tandem?
Two of the top 3 PF/Cs of all time playing on a spurs team that's been lacking quality big men for years, in a conference that houses various teams with exceptional size and length?
You can't say that Garnett has nothing left in the tank, given that he just spent a good portion of the playoffs putting up numbers better than 85% of the big men in the league. Same for Duncan. Garnett has extensive playoff experience, championship experience, a seething desire to win (in the mold of Jax).
I can't imagine any scenario more perfect/plausible for the spurs in the free agent market.
OP's a got. Nuff said.
KG to the Spurs is a dream that won't happen..
Tim and KG don't like eachother..
KG would have to sign for nothing..
Yes Tim said that but I'm pretty sure he wouldn't mind him if there on the same team. Seriously if any reason KG doesn't sign with us that's probably not even close to being why.
love to see kg and sj guard each other in practice
Tbh I can't see Garnett being unable to score on guards off switches. Having him and TD on the floor together would have completely wrecked OKC's defensive strategy for games 3-6. The guy looks like he has two good years left. I know it's a complete pipe dream (especially with Holt's comments in the lockout), but people acting like he wouldn't immensely improve the team are being ignorant.
Manu will start training with the NT for the Olympics in about two weeks. Tony should be the pretty much the same.
Ugh
Take the in summer off.... Manu is 34 and fragile yet he is still ing around with his NT..
We are probably only 2nd to Boston in terms of what we can offer him amongst the contenders since we have the full non-taxpayer MLE at $5m per year.
He probably stays in Boston but if he leaves, I'd say we are as good an option as any

Garnett's words to Duncan on Mother's day knowing his mother died.
