Bring him on and ship Neal/Blair for a first round pick. Then ship Bonner for a pair of second round picks.
I think your trade value may be a bit optimistic.

Possibly but expiring contracts are nothing to scoff at.

Yea...but people don't usually trade draft picks for expiring contracts. They usually trade unwanted players on longer-term contracts for expiring contracts.

    George Hill disagrees.

George Hill was a former first round pick who's team didn't want to pay him. He was probably in the top half of NBA sixth men. NOT just an expiring contract.

If they think that Lighty is a better defender than Green, they may not even WANT Danny back. When are qualifying offers due, anyway? That may tell the story of Danny Green.

Thats a stupid response. Teams trade for expiring contracts by dumping larger contracts in the process in hopes of gaining cap space in the coming offseason. Hill was traded for draft picks and draft rights - basically, the Pacers took on salary and the need to pay him a year later. Hence, the value of George Hill was not that he was expiring but rather that he was a talented player (and also the hometown kid). They traded for his ability, not for any salary relief he'd bring. The expiring part was just coincidence and was totally unimportant in the trade.
