Wade had always been one of the must purely overrated players in this era of the NBA.
Had the mavericks not crowned the 06 Heat the worst champion of all time, Wade would not be anywhere near as hyped as he has been.
The guy can score points, and his.clutch rating on a scale of 1-10 is about a 7
he's a damn good player, but has never been a truly top tier player. Ever. He's just gushed over because of his bunk 06 ring

But there's no way someone as high impact and fragile as Wade doesn't slow down early

Wade no longer has elite athleticism and once that goes you need to have skills to fall back on.
Doesn't change the fact that he was a lot better back then than he looks now.
My money's on injured. But it's possible he's worn down from having a game that involves repeatedly crashing into bigger dudes.
Based on this season, he's still a top 20 player. If he recovers, he could easily be top 10 again. And even at Top 20, he's one of the two best SGs in the league right now, along with Kobe. Not a great period in the league for the 2.

His athleticism isn't as sharp, but it's still elite..
His jump shot is completely dead, though, and he no longer has any confidence in it..he constantly stalls the offense with his pump-fakes/hesitations that lead to a horrible shot from a teammate, with the shot-clock winding down..
His decision making is worse than ever, which shouldn't be the case as you get older, tbh..

wade was my favorite player outside of mavs squad, but its fair to say he's been performing well below people's expectations in the playoffs so far, he might have been playing with minor injuries im not sure

I agree thb, but for now he should drain his knee like he did in the Pacers series. After his 5pt game, he drained it and went off.
