I was just watching the Dan Patrick show where he was talking to Karl Malone and he asked Karl "who is the best PF of all time you or Duncan?".Malone said Tim is not a PF, he has range but he isn't a pf he's a center.Then Dan Patrick asked him again and Karl said "if I had to chose of course it would be me no doubt i'm the best ever".
I thought that was funny.No doubt Malone was an excellent PF but no way better than timmy D.

Being the best means giving everything you have to the game. Duncan squandered too much of his time and energy on things like acknowledging the existence of his children to take the top spot. When the chips are down Tim Duncan couldn't statutory rape his way out of a paper bag.

It's not Tim's fault that he could play two positions at all-star level. Whether you consider him a 4 or a 5, it doesn't matter. If you consider him a pf; then he is the best pf of all time. Center, probably be 3rd or 4th best center of all time. He's that good!

The reality is, Tim's played about half his career at PF (when lining up next to Robinson, Rasho, Nazr, etc.), and half at C (when lining up next to Horry, Bonner, etc.). He can play both positions. But if you win multiple les playing power forward, you can be counted as a power forward.
Also, now that Dirk has a ring, I'm not sure Malone even has a claim at second place.
him, imagine how much less he would've done if he wasn't allowed to karate chop in the post and travel.
People should only ask Malone about knockign up 14 year olds, neglecting his children until theu are all grown up and successful, breaking other people' ribs on purpose, hunting little Mexican girls, and choking in big games, because he is the best of all time in those things.

Wonder if Spurs could have won it all in '96 and '98 if Malone hadn't gotten in the way.... would've killed for a Spurs-Bulls Final at least once in the 90's.
He was pretty clear - not sure what you missed. He even listed the specific player pairs.
I would've killed for spurs-anything in the 90s(b4 99 obviously) but the only team good enough had olajuwan in the way and that was the year they beat the magic in the finals...with that said I've always believed the spurs of 2003 would have beaten Jordan's bulls but no one around me ever agrees
