Oh, and like clockwork, Aggies will have decommits once they start getting pounded during the season - and now in the S-E-C, S-E-C, S-E-C.
Well, at least ours will wait until the season starts unlike RSJ did for the sips![]()
:
maybe they will wait till next season to do that, but a 4 win season will even all that out!!! tamu meet your long lost friends vandy and UK...
4? I had us pinned for 3.
Vandy is nice and well mannered. Glad to be friends with them. Kentucky has good alcohol.

Really, we are not in a spot to make fun of Aggies for their decommitments right now. People/we have been making fun of them for the possible decommitments from Derrick Griffin and Ishmael Wilson and look what we got.
thought this was interesting so I thought I'd post it here
What do we do with D.J. Monroe?
One of the most common complaints about the Texas offense in 2010, legitimately, was the lack of involvement for WR/RB D.J. Monroe. Despite averaging 8.5 yards per carry, Monroe only received 23 hand-offs. He saw that number more than double to 48 (plus eight catches) under Brian Harsin, but finding the right place for him in the offense was still difficult.
But Brown announced Wednesday that the Horns were creating a new position specifically for Monroe and freshman speedster Daje Johnson.
“Bryan and (co-offensive coordinator) Major (Applewhite) and (wide receivers coach) Darrell (Wyatt) are calling it T 'n Z right now, which is part tailback, part Z receiver,” Brown said. “We feel those guys are speed guys and can get the ball in their hands and help us with explosive plays. They're working hard this summer on getting packages to get D.J. Moore involved and to get Daje involved early in the process because we think he has a chance to be a good player with his explosive speed.”
The announcement comes as little surprise, given the number of times Daje Johnson has been mentioned by Jesus Shuttlesworth's sources. [Subscribers, see Inside the Humidor entries from 4/2/12, 5/29/12 and 6/4/12.]
The position itself will function like a wingback who frequently motions.
“They'll line up in the backfield some and they'll shift and motion to the Z, which is our flanker position,” said Brown.
When asked to give a comparison to the position, Brown said, “Reggie Bush.”
Good news from OrangeBloods. ATH Ricky Seals-Jones is expected to be at UT tomorrow with his family and the visit is mainly for basketball. Hopefully some positive developments will come of it.
Watching game 1 of the NBA finals when they cut to an image of KD holding up the Hook'em sign. I'm sure RSJ saw it and I think it probably gave him some second thoughts on what UT has to offer.
Hope he comes to his senses and re-ups with Texas. If he has the talent Barnes will put him in the NBA, if not, Mack will put him in the NFL
24/7 reporting that 2014 QB Ronald Monroe of Fort Bend Bush will be taking an unofficial visit to UT in early July with his father.

Update on ATH Ricky Seals-Jones. The family was going to cancel the trip today because a lot of the UT coaches were not on campus, but the staff is going back specifically for him so things are back on. RSJ will be accompanied by his parents and possibly his AAU coach.
Nice update on CB Cole Luke from 24/7:
“He’s looking at a bunch of schools,” the source said. “But it’s Texas that’s really sticking out right now. That’s the feel from everyone around our program."
"I know he had a great visit to Notre Dame, but Texas’ success in getting defensive backs to the league is the key. He also just feels really comfortable with the coach there.”
Best news I read in 2 weeks. A signed Durant jersey may do the trick.
CB Tavares Garner of Manvel has committed to the Aggies.
LB Jordan Mastrogiovanni of Dallas Jesuit picks OU.
Quotes from DE Torrodney Prevot:
“Honestly I had to work and I couldn’t take off (to attend Texas' camp),” said the No. 234 player in the country from Alief (Texas) Taylor. “Texas is still very high on my list. We didn’t make the camp this past weekend, but my uncle and I are setting something up for us and my mom to go down there.”
“I am thinking about getting my commitment out of the way sometime before the summer,” he said. “I have The Opening and I am going to Cal this Friday. Then I might go to USC next week or something like that. I’ll probably make my decision next month.”
“My uncle [Robin Toy] and I have been doing a lot of research lately and we are just going to come through everything and break it down from there,” Prevot said. “We are looking at how many commitments they have and how many people they have signed over the past two years. We are also looking at the educational side of things. There are a bunch of different things we are looking at.”
“My uncle has been through everything with me,” he said. “He has multiple degrees in marketing and business management, so he knows the game. He used to work for a recruiting agency and knows all the ropes.”
“I’ve been staying very humble,” he said. “People tell me that all the time so I have learned that about myself.”
“It’s actually kind of fun but it does get old to me at times,” he said. “You just want to lay back a bit. But everything is just fine, just getting love from everyone is cool.”
“With (Barkevius) Mingo (of LSU) leaving next year they said it depends on how much I work but I could get that starting position by my sop re year,” he said. “That intrigues me because I see someone that is the same size as me, and he could go in the first round of the draft.”
“I am thinking about getting my commitment out of the way sometime before the summer,” he said. “I have The Opening and I am going to Cal this Friday. Then I might go to USC next week or something like that. I’ll probably make my decision next month.”
Honestly had to work & couldn't take off?--
California trip this week (Cal)...back on West Coast (USC) next week or following week...then a return trip to west coast (Oregon) in early July for "Opening" @ Duckville...yeah i'm looking at you (Chip K street agent best friend)

Riiiigggghhhttt...
Now there has been talk on other forums, cough texags cough... That a'shawn Robinson is looking around, any truth to this?
Recruiting agency is all I needed to hear from Prevot, see ya.
That rumor has been out there for about two weeks now, but there haven't been any reports of set future visits. It's just been mentioned that he's thinking of visiting USC.
My first impression was the recruiting agency had nothing to do with sports, but possibly human resources related and he's a headhunter who places people in certain jobs. Who knows. It reminds me of the Fred Akers quote on recruiting..."there's always an uncle."
Forgot to answer this one, Bloeddyr. Good question.
Just my opinions...because Texas is obviously more than willing to go the JUCO route to fill holes so they can win now, you can't rule it out even though I don't see it. They may try to steal a guy like WR Devin Lauderdale who's currently committed to Texas Tech. I think Rhodes will be recruited all the way through especially if UT is much improved in the passing game and Baylor goes back to being Baylor. Briles has too much recruiting momentum right now because of RG3. Samples is an afterthought at this point. The relationship between the Texas staff and Dallas Skyline/Coach Samples just isn't there.
To elaborate on this...the entire staff was scheduled to be in San Angelo today for a coaching clinic but Mack, Giles and Wyatt cancelled to be in town for RSJ. Applewhite and Harsin may also be there. Basically this is a huge priority for the staff and it tells us that UT is all in to get him back as long as the lines of communication are open.
Noel Ellis -a CB out of Louisiana- committed to A&M. Some think we might lose him if LSU offers, though.
His father despises LSU. A&M won't lose him to them.
I really like this kid's return ability:

Wow, glad to hear it. Thanks.
