I can't say I'm not enjoying reading mavs>spurs and DPG21920 go back and forth.
Guy, why are you lying. I can point out several fluky long shots vs MIA. Just because they are hitting some, doesn't mean it's all fluky - I never said that. What I did say is they shot fluky against the Spurs and that if they didn't shoot like that vs Mia, they would struggle some. I had my doubts they could keep it up - and it's not just mia defense (though that's the largest contributor).

I can....

you've been complaining about their shooting all series.
Except the part where I just showed that they have actually been shooting poorly. I'm just not sure what games you watch.
This all started bc one adult make read the wrong box score.
you pointed it out and tried to make a huge deal out of it because i've been pointing out your bs here lately. glancing at a wrong box score pales in comparison to this. you said the thunder were shooting fluky when in fact the opposite has been happening.
I just want to know what games you watch, that's all.
DPG, is normally solid. But you would have better luck trying to get Kobe to admit he shoots to much than for DPG to ever admit he is wrong without a uva fight.
You got trolled then tried to get serious because you were hurt. You started by twisting my words and lying, then after getting ultra serious you finally did stat work (which I don't trust) to back up a pseudo argument you already made.
You also lost credibility because you still act like shooting 42% normally then jumping to 52% isn't somewhat fluky, yet shooting 38% from 42% normally is well below?
you're the one coming into every game thread crying about oklahoma's "flukey" outside shooting. i have the quotes, we've all seen them. it isn't just some "argument that i made up," you really said it and it was really false.
you don't like my stats? count em up yourself, here's the shot chart.

i know and that's why i'm going to bed while dpg counts shots
OKC has hit fluky shots and you're obviously twisting my words again. I clearly acknowledged okc struggling to shoot which is why I said they're down 2-1.
Me, during the course of a game blog, saying "at that fluky shot" is much different than the picture you are trying to Microsoft Paint.
When I first posted the real numbers it was news to you and you acted surprised here.
You're just trying to rewrite history at this point.
This was wrong BTW. What is it with you and lying?
Game 3: 40%
Game 2: 46%
Game 1: 46%

I was surprised because it was a lie![]()
So they are shooting slightly better than their average (while still making some tough ones) and that really goes dead in line with my analysis above (that I made well before this argument).
Your argument is taking individual statements from a game blog coming after very specific moments and trying to pass that off as my analysis. You are lying. Again.
Huh? according to this:
http://www.hoopdata.com/boxscore.aspx?id=320617014
the thunder shot 6-15 from 16-23ft, and 4-18 from 3 for a grand total of 10/33 for all shots taken from 15+ feet
that is exactly what i said
No. We weren't talking 3 pointers. You know that damn well. I have always been talking about the "inefficient long two pointer" since the Spurs series. It's what Timvp's thread was based on and what I have been saying.
That is where the 42% for the season number comes from you d-head
Cue the "but, but, but..."
http://hoopdata.com/teamshotlocs.aspx
You're playing with the numbers.
Also, game 2 the reason they shot 46% was because they only attempted 13 shots from that range, as opposed to 26 from three point range and 29 at the rim. shots from 16-23 feet barely make up a tiny fraction of their total fg attempts, and here you are crying all game long about all these fluke long 2's that just keep going in
give it a rest already
quoting their 42% number which was only for the shot I described, then trying to lie your way into an argument. All the while reading the wrong box score.
Crassic.
They shot 18 threes, not 26.
If this wasn't spot on I don't know what is.
DPG, right about det MS![]()
We were talking shots from 15ft+, if you meant something else you should have been more specific.
The Thunder are barely even shooting the long 2 in this series because Miami is defending it. 6/13 in game 1, 6/13 in game 2, and 6/15 tonight
Compare this to the spurs series:
game 1: 12-19
game 2: 6-18
game 3: 13-23
game 4: 10-19
game 5: 12-19
game 6: 6-14
The thunder took that shot more often, and hit at a much higher rate vs SA than they are vs miami. Yet you keep crying about the shot this series (even though they barely shoot it) claiming that the "hot shooting has continued, when will it stop" (even though they are hitting it at a much lower clip) and also said that miami's game plan is similar to the one the spurs employed??
That's laughable, i'm looking at the raw numbers. the heat are running them off that shot and making them hit it at a lower rate than the spurs did.
If they were taking the same amount of shots from that range, but making a much lower percentage sure you could call the spurs series an anomoly.
But combine that with the fact that they are taking less of them this series leads me to think that the heat are running them off that shot.
You need to let it go buddy.
Huh? in game 2 they were 9-26

dpg lied again
