I never understood the "I'm not watching because the team with my city's name on the jersey isn't in it" sentiment. If you don't like the sport of basketball, why watch the Spurs? None of them knows or gives a about you. I mean, San Antonio could land the greatest soccer team in the world and win every game and I wouldn't give a , because soccer sucks. So why be a Spurs fan if you don't like professional basketball?

Well that and the Spurs don't have their city's name on their jerseys.

It has been good but not great (from a basketball standpoint) because this series has never been in doubt for Miami. OKC can't adjust to come back. Their D isn't very good, Harden is getting exposed, and they aren't playing an old team for the first time in the 2012 playoffs. These are trends that just won't end. OKC's only hope is for Miami to beat themselves.

Anyone catch Woj's article on Bron? Pretty awesome read. That 3 was huge - big moment for him - although it's still hard to believe he cramped up in the biggest moment of his career. I was hard on him in the moment, but came back and said I was ultimately too hard on him. He's played amazing these playoffs/finals.

All 3. Durant and Lebron (especially James) have been amazing. At times both mediocre (especially Durant) Lebron has only had a few lapses. Watching Harden shoot has been the definition of mediocrity. And when OKC has the ball with both or either Durant or Westbrook onthe bench it has been boring. Pluses include:

    1. Lebron in the post. he always has been somewhat effective but awkward. He had 3 sweet post moves last night, which could signal the end of the league, tbh.

    2. Battier. I hate that Oreo's eating grin, but he is playing like Horry in this Finals making big shots and taking key charges or grabbing huge rebounds

    3. Wade in flashes (ha, ha) makes those sweet floaters and amazing blocks. his defense is overrated but he is the best shot-blocking guard since Mike Cooper. Coop's were prettier but I think Wade has more.

    4. Westbrook making a team with 3 stars and elite athletes look slow. When Russ accelerates it's like pressing turbo in a video game. and then his lefty finish is sublime.

    5. Durant when he is on, his stroke is so pure.

    6. I was once a shotblocker so I loved seeing Collison and Ibaka meet Wade and Lebron at the rim, great stuff.

    7. the heat defense is VERy good. If they had a better big man they could be 2008 Celts, 2004 Pistons, 72 win Bulls or Bad Boy Piston good.

    8. Lebron one more time. To see him come close to maximizin his gifts should b a joy for any true sports fan.

And though he has been mostly ty, i was right about Chalmers. Guy has huge balls and is not scared of the clutch.

Crofl Harlem you are on crack

2009 2010 finals among the best since Jordan?

there is absolutely nothing that can be said to properly address such a ridiculous claim

Yeah, everyone enjoys finals like 09 in which everyone knew what would happen
Or 10 when Perkins was out for game 7 and it was painfully obvious even with Kobe choking thur Celtics were screwed

the spurs, lakers or even the mavs could have done better than 1 game.

It's not like okc is getting destroyed. Yes, it's 3-1, but every game has been compe ive and really hard fought with some amazing plays.

    Couple of interesting stats:

@johnschuhmann: Prior to '12 playoffs, Westbrook had 7+ mid-range FG 4 times in 335 games. In '12 playoffs, he has 7+ mid-range FG 4 times in 19 games.
    @ESPNSteinLine: RT @tomhaberstroh: LeBron crunchtime 2011 Finals: 18 min, 0-7 FG, 0-0 FT, 0 PTS. 2012? 11 min, 4-7 FG, 5-6 FT, 14 PTS - http://t.co/1Ua0moJM

That pretty much tells you everything you need to know about why the Heat are winning this year.

Fun to watch. All of the games have been close, which is all you can ask for in a series where your team isn't playing. Would be nice if OKC sent it back home, but LeBron's gettin' crowned on Thursday.
