How much credit does this guy get?
Admittingly I watched spot minutes here and there but everytime I did tune in - it seemed like Shane was swishing 3s, making big time plays, or getting under Westbrook's skin.

tons...he made the thunder pay for doubling LeBron which is something LeBron never had in his past teams, clutch role players.
Battier came up HUGE in the Finals! He's a big reason the Heat are champions tonight!
tbh, he stole pressure from Jack and made sweet love to it...
he upgraded our D to another level despite not having good stats himself. his stats are never that impressive and that's a good reason why he's probably the most underrated defender in NBA history, but his influence is so HUGE you just can't overlook it tbh

Shane battier he's a great defender does what he suppose to great series for him and finally getting his due.
58% from 3point land (averaged 3 made per game) at in the finals after shooting just 34% in regular season. Wonder who they're going to sign for Tax payer MLE this year..

But as much as I cant stand Battier he was the third most reliable player for the Heat. He played great defense, made plenty of hustle plays, he took a charge in every game, and hit most of his open shots, he even snuck in a few drives. I wanted him on the Lakers but he had such a crappy regular season I thought I was crazy. Even in the playoffs ... he was just mehhh ...but in the Finals he was Horryesque ...
Bosh, Lebron, and Wade are bags but Battier is a good player, plays defense, and not a diva or spoiled brat. He played on some ty teams and finally paid his dues.
