I thought Rhodes has committed Baylor, which usually indicates Texas stops chasing. Any updates about Rhodes?
I'm starting to like Devon Allen more as recruit. Good film and elite speed. Once it's over between Texas and Robbie Rhodes, I think Allen is the logical next move.

TE Christian Morgan committed to Florida State last night:

Nothing that I know of with Rhodes. I don't think Texas is going to cut off all communication with him because most know that Baylor is going to have a very tough time following up their 2011 season even if they have a decent year.
OrangeBloods reporting that it doesn't look like DE Kewan Alfred will be in Austin today. They don't know why exactly but it's possible the staff pushed the visit back to the fall.
Excerpts from "Rivals Challenge: Southwest lessons learned"

1. Ricky Seals-Jones can play
The biggest question for the Southwest team, and maybe for the Challenge overall, coming into the weekend was whether Sealy (Texas) wide receiver Ricky Seals-Jones could actually play the position. The nation's No. 1 receiver prospect, the 6-foot-5, 230-pound Texan plays quarterback and safety for his high school team. After a very subpar showing on Saturday, Seals-Jones rebounded on Sunday as the top performer for his team. It still remains to be seen whether he might grow into a tight end at the next level, but he showed he can get behind defenders and catch the ball in traffic.
2. Tyrone Swoopes has made strides.
Five-star quarterback Swoopes of Whitewright, Texas is ranked so highly mainly based on potential. The Texas commit was seen as an extraordinary athlete with a great arm but lacking the touch and accuracy of the other passers at the event. While he had his ups and downs, the 6-foot-5, 220-pound passer made improvements as Sunday's 7-on-7 action went on. He was more comfortable making reads and checking down and also was not afraid to try and fit balls into smaller windows. For a quarterback who was not able to showcase his primary weapon in his legs, he had a great weekend. He truly has the potential to be a star for the Longhorns.
According to OU Insider, 2013 Livingston ATH Chevoski Collins has narrowed his list to a top three of Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State.

It's encouraging that he did pretty well considering he couldn't run and I imagine his ability to use his legs on the college level will open up his passing game that much more. Nothing worse than when your team plays a QB who can scramble to the line of scrimmage, pull the defense in and then dump it.

"Reports that surfaced earlier this week that Texas did NOT make Torrodney Prevot's top seven are false according to Prevot. #hookem #ut"
Inside Texas reporting that a source of theirs is hearing DE Daeshon Hall has de-committed from UT. Nothing official yet but not a huge surprise if true.
Does Hall have another place in mind or is he opening it all back up?
Good question and I'm not sure what the answer is. He's just been flirting with others schools since he went to Baylor for RG3's Pro Day. He's also been to A&M at least one time and he had talked about going to Arkansas. Hopefully the rumors are false.
Just a guess on Hall, but if Tosh Lupoi is recruiting him to Washington that might be where this is coming from.
Hard to shoot down that possibility since Hall is originally from Washington and that's where he's spending the summer. UW can't offer what Texas can defensively but Lupoi is a stud on the recruiting trail.
A new alternate uniform for West Virginia:

If there's someone that I wouldn't want to go against in recruiting is Lupoi.
I'm really curious what's going on if the staff knew Hall was going to de-commit but still put things on hold with Alfred. That leaves you with ZERO true defensive line commitments if you take out Raulerson and Robinson who don't have a specific position yet.
nowhere, he wants to play linebacker and Texas wants him at defensive end.
His Dad lives on the west coast I think, so he wants to be over there. I'm not upset at this reason, I would want to be close to family as well. RSJ however...
Could help with Prevot since hes so concerned with the dept chart and numbers of the team he goes too.
HornsNation just confirmed

BFLT meltdown soon to followDiaz & Davis should move on and target ?
Hall is still considering Texas but most likely would go to pac-12 school to be closer to fam on west coast - look out for UW, Oregon, USC getting visits
