Why would the Bobcats do it anyway ?
DW is a tweener and had a terrible rookie year.

Sources say Minnesota offered Derrick Williams to Charlotte in exchange for the #2 pick. Bobcats quickly rejected.

I wouldn't do it either; I'd much rather have MKG or Barnes.
Derrick Williams requires work to fulfill his potential, Bobcats need a quick fix to crack 10 wins
Derrick Williams is the kind of player that needs to be in a winning environment to truly reach his potential. Add to the fact that he's an honest-to-goodness tweener without a position and you can see that him + the lolcats just won't work.
GS also refused Derrick Williams for the 7th pick
The boy didn't help himself in his rookie year but it doesn't help that he plays behind Love and he will never be able to start as long as Love is in Minny
i would have rejected it too,op wtf?
Smart move, finally. DW hasn't shown nearly enough to warrant giving up on the upside of a potential #2 pick. He hasn't shown much of anything. His value is the 12-18 range IMO, but that gets to the point where you don't trade him if you are Minny.
That is like a fantasy trade you offer you think is really fair and the other owner replys with a "quit sending me garbage noob".
If Harden is truly on the table, that might be one they should consider IMO. #2, while valuable, is still a gamble and getting a guaranteed "Harden" is pretty damn good and he is still very young with a lot of upside.
Yeah D-Will would probably be a 12-18 pick in this draft. Him being #2 last year shows just how ty the draft class was.
I see D-Will ultimately averaging around 14-15 points at a good percentage w/ 6-7 rebounds. I think he's ultimately gonna need to transition to SF and focus on being a good defender at that position.
I just am not impressed with him at all, but it's still early.
There isn't much to be impressed about so far tbh
wolves got a " no" response from them cats and it's really no surprise, 11' draft ain't worth a compared to this year's tbh, 12' is perhaps the most stacked draft since 03
if they didn't have lee there they would have taken him but sf was the only thing they needed.
baby vegan booty tbh
