I added 4 songs (I have enough for a couple of CD's) and bumped them to number 1-4 on the playlist and left the previous songs as #4-8.

Here's a brief description and/or footnotes to these songs:

#1) My Girl - Just a romantic ballad for someone recognizing that their girl is a refined
creature.

#2 America...Better Days - A semi-political statement disguised as a road song. I told
the vocalist, "give me some Sam Cooke flavor- Sam Cooke taking a long road trip
through America." M-f#%ker delivered in spades.

#3) My oh My - A song about addiction- but what kind of addiction? I told the vocalist,
"I want to hear what Otis Redding would sound like if he was tormented by
addiction." ing prick delivered this gem in ONE take.

#4) I Never Said - A rock song with a spiritual message. A different vocalist and a good
friend from San Antonio who is more of a "power" vocalist. I wrote these lyrics about
ten years ago and it is the pinnacle of my spiritual knowledge. Every word is
measured. It is spiritual and political and the heaviest lyric I have ever written. Not
religious.

I have to include the lyrics to do the song justice.

I'm actually bumping this because I was reading the comments that TEYSHABLUE made about my music and I discovered that he had a music link.
He is damn good!

Check out his music - see the comment in this thread (post #19) and click on his link. Top-quality music right there.

I guess that means that his comments carry a little extra weight!
