It's his own damn fault honestly who would sign Bonner to a contract like that in the first place. He made his own bed now the whole organization has to sleep in it.
There was about 3 or 4 other teams competing for him at the time.

Yeah cool, let him go to those teams then at the time and ruin their late playoff run with some horrible stats that start even before the playoffs begin! Bonner is what he is, forget who pursues him let them have that clown because he obviously doesn't have IT nor NEVER WILL....
Still, you let him walk. It's not like Bonner was coming off a productive season and he wasn't valuable to the team that they had to give him that ludicrous contract.
That's ideal. If any contender wants Bonner, you drive him to the air port immediately because he will ruin that teams chances in the playoffs. That helps take out one of your compe ors.
