e too? I always thought he was kind of a studio gangster, but there was no denying his talent (especially on songs like In My Neighborhood, East Bay Gangster, Face of a Desperate Man, etc.)

Rapper Pimp C's death ruled accidental

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Coroner's investigators have determined the death of the rapper known as Pimp C was an accident.
Captain Ed Winter of the Los Angeles County coroner's office says Monday that 33-year-old Chad Butler suffered from sleep apnea and his condition reacted badly with codeine-containing cough medicine he took. Butler's body was found in a West Hollywood hotel room in December.
Winter says the levels of promethazine and codeine cough syrup in the rapper's system "were not that of an overdose."
Pimp C, a native of Port Arthur, Texas, was one-half of the pioneering Southern rap duo UGK, or Underground Kingz. The group's self- led CD topped the Billboard charts last year.

Pimp C was pretty big in Texas, I love UGK and still listen to it when I'm in the mood.....always preferred Bun's lyrics but Pimp's sound was one of a kind.
