What a shallow sheltered existence for you to be this wrapped up in convincing yourself that your merit less claims actually carry any value at all. So I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you're just trying to get a rise out of people.
Your opinion, if that's what you can even call it, it based on nothing more than redirected hatred and intolerance.
You attempt to hide behind what sounds like rational thinking in your head but is really just a manifestation of indoctrinated resentment or worse outright bigotry and anger that you refuse to actually own.
The fact that you even attempt to make an argument or justification for intolerance show not only what a coward you are but perhaps even repressed guilt for being such an utter piece of . Do you exude confidence only to actually hate yourself?

What's so wrong about withholding my acceptance of a sexuals orientation?
I probably hold similar passiveness and Idc-ness about it existing and happening as a lot of you have expressed in your posts. Like if two gay men decide to be each other it's their prerogative and right as a human being to do as they please, not arguing with that at all. I just hate all this parading bull and crazy advocacy towards promoting it. Some people nowadays essentially think its normal to be gay, I find that insulting to man, but I don't hold this abnormality of gays against them. I don't want my kids to grow up in a society that will increasingly accept gay as a natural inclination.
How can I lack character because I'm looking out for my kids? Like I said, I don't care for gay relations, I'm just not at the letting it be promoted state like a lot of you seem to be.

Within your own home sure. OTOH, equal protection still applies to all citizens.
Also you are going to have serious issues with the generations that have recently entered adulthood because they do not hold the puritanical nonsense that you do very much at all.
As the baby boomers die off you are going to see a lot more social change and you are going to go all chicken little. Cannot wait for the meltdown.
sexuality gets the treatment it does because of the world's top two religions comprising over half of the world's population. It was not always like that and it is not the norm in the rest of the world. That makes your view popular but in now way does that make it natural or 'right.' Those are just words that people use to try and raise their worldviews above someone elses.
I think it should be noted that similar rhetoric was used within the various misogynist and racist movements over the last couple of centuries. Women's suffrage and racial integration was not 'right' or 'natural.' Those notions were also supported by dogma.
You probably have the same concerns about the decay of morality that those men did in those days.

Nothing wrong with indifference or even a strong opinion but these kinds of statements are designed to attacked rather exhibit tolerance. The key is your intolerance. Lets hope your kids turn out to be better than you have.
I got news for you. Gay is normal or its abnormality is in fact regularly occurring essentially making it normal. Its been normal for thousands of years. There is a standard pattern of sexuality that you simply cannot deny. Their existence throughout history isn't insulting, your intolerance is.
Gay people have been "naturally" occurring in society since society was recorded. Historical intolerance and bigotry doesn't in any way justify yours.
You obviously don't understand what "natural" or "normal" is. The gay population may not be the majority but that in no way makes them unnatural or out of the norm.
I don't mean to pull numbers out of my ass but there are approx. 18-20 million men who are impotent. Why not attack them for being "unnatural" or "abnormal"? Approx. 20 million gay people in the US and roughly 1 in 5 men have experienced some form of sexual encounters.
Hardly abnormal or unnatural.
You need to wake up and come to terms with your intolerance and realize that gay people aren't the problem you are.

Why cant you accept them for being who they are? You can still dislike sexuality and still accept and understand the concept of it. Or you can just ignore it completely.
Doesn't have to be love it or hate it. Fact is, if it doesn't affect you or your family, why are you so concern about the gays?
Maybe I kinda do accept them for who they are...like the human aspect of having the ability to do what it is your en led to do. I understand sexuality, I don't accept it. I don't like the concept of it. I don't understand what the problem with that viewpoint is.
I have to add, almost everyone who's posted in this thread is on either end of the spectrum. The type of opinion is an all or none thing. The same question you posed to me, shadowflames, applies to everyone here.
This couldn't be further from the truth. Until you said it was okay for two gay men to marry you essentially exhibited near absolute intolerance, including contempt and hatred. But the rest of us are only advocating equality and tolerance not the idea that you have to sell out to an opposing extreme.
The issues isn't extremes. There is what seemed to be your extreme and those similar to it and then a broad spectrum of tolerance to acceptance to promotion from everyone else.
You're either backpeddling or beginning to figure it out. That or just bull ting your way out of this so you don't look like an outright bigot and intolerant asshole.
