IMO it's a good safe route for Phoenix. They weren't gonna get anything special for Nash, they didn't take on any dead weight salary, and they got picks for an unrestricted free agent. Can't complain about that.

Nash is a TOSB, but he's a TOSB than can SHOOT and can PASS.
And who will never touch the ball for Kobrick reasons.... and who gets torched on the defensive end....

Besides the hatred for LA, PHX fans have to be thrilled with this. Getting garbage from NY would not have been smart IMO. Getting picks and a TE is a much smarter way to go.

I don't get the "NY was never an option for Nash" - B.S. He loves NY and I am willing to bet he would have been happy playing there.

Where is mid? He always called Mitch "Cupcake". Within the last 4 years alone:

    Pau for Kwame
LO to Dallas for a $9M TPE
    $9M TPE for Nash

Nash is a TOSB, but he's a TOSB than can SHOOT and can PASS. The spacing for our still intact twin towers just got less congested. I dare teams to leave Nash open.

    NA = FCKED!
He traded two first rounders and a TE for an unrestricted free agent.

    thinking it's some genius move

I phrased that wrong....I meant that Nash would need to agree to basically signing with LA.

As far as what Phoenix wants, from what I'm hearing right now, they tried getting Shumpert from New York, and they had something agreed to, but NY pulled Shumpert off the table so Phoenix moved on. The way they see it is two 1st rounders and a TE are better than letting him leave for nothing.
Someone should have taken you up on that bet.

I was 90% sure he would stay in Phoenix and retire there.

    Suns

LAL has turned into a TOSB fest like Dallas last season

I doubt the Lakers training staff could keep Nash healthy tbh

Picks + TE is a great package for Nash, even if they are late picks. Much better than the New York package.

    But... c'mon

They should be but they won't. Phoenix fans are emotional morons who cry about meaningless sentimental things.

I agree though. It's a good deal for the Suns.

Nash helps, but I dont think he helps that much to LA. We'll see. For a team that needs to pound it inside more, getting Nash kind of negates that some.
