Too bad this isn't 2001 would have been a great peice for the Lakers.

yeah. If I'm DOK or any Suns fan, I'm optimistic for the future. You get rid of a player that needed to go, and in return you get a couple of draft picks for the future.
Suns have no fear! this is all apart of the grand plan for the savior to arrive!

I bet Nash's first year salary is 8.9M on the dot![]()
If it leads to an LA le - ya, that would suck, but other than that there is all upside for PHX. Watching Kobe chuck while Nash stands there could be funny to.
Does this trade in effect make the Lakers the oldest team in the league?
at Culburn's TOSB schtick
what's the point of a S&T if he isn't getting max years?
Suns fans should be thrilled. They weren't gonna be competing with LA in the near future anyway.
Gordon is going to Phoenix son. he doesn't want to be here his heart is in Phoenix after all those white people cheered with thundersticks.
Pros:
1. 4 Draft Picks + $$
2. Nash has chance to compete for a ring
3. Suns do right by Nash, keep him close to Phoenix, which is apparently where he wanted to be.
Cons
1. Lakers
2. Los Angeles
3. Kobe
So does Dwight want to go to L.A now?
These first round picks are going to be higher, but it's still an asset. I see why LA did it - to them draft picks don't mean nearly as much, 1) because they are higher picks usually & 2) they don't use the draft to build their team, they use Free Agency.
But that is a very good trade for PHX IMO.
So the cons are Phoenix gives Nash to a team they weren't gonna be competing with anyway for the duration of Nash's career?
I'd say that's a great trade.
I have it on good authority NO is keeping Gordon.
Good deal for the Suns, but the Lakers didn't get fleeced. The two second rounders will be in the 50's and the 2013 first rounder will be Miami's (assuming Miami finishes with a better record than the Lakers). So, depending on the protection on the 2015 pick, it doesn't look to be near enough to be called a fleece job.
Still, much more than nothing, and the Lakers had to pay a price to get a player that they couldn't acquire in any other way.
And that TE can be very valuable.
I can't view it so objectively
son which some of those will go to New Orleans for Eric Gordon, as long as this doesn't happen ....
NOT SO FAST THERE!!!

Now if THAT happens, I'll have to question why I watch this league, tbh...
How mad is Suns fan?
Marc J. Spears @SpearsNBAYahoo
The Suns get $3 million in the Nash trade.
