There's no way I'd trade Gortat for Gordon, though, which is what JMJ was saying.
Because his value is at an all time high and can only go down at this point. They're still nowhere near being a contender, so if they can get quality talent/picks for Gortat, they'd be stupid not to.
Same thing for Dudley imo, both Dudley and Gortat are players who do nothing for a rebuilding team and should be traded while they have value.
While I'm thrilled with the young talent they're adding, none it is franchise-player type talent. Since they're prolly not getting Gordon, blow the team up w/ Dragic and Beasley as building blocks and draft Shabazz in 2013.

If you trade Gortat for Gordon, you do three things:
1. You secure Gordon, a sub-25, not-yet-prime, 20-ppg scorer for a 28-YO, soon-to-be-end-prime big that may not play as well without Nash.
2. You are an amnesty away from clearing another MAX contract worth of CAP space, maybe for next year.
3. You commit to finding out what Morris is worth quickly, being able to immediately assess frontcourt need.
Gortat has two years left at a very reasonable amount, which is really valuable.
Maybe not New Orleans for Gordon, but I think it would be wise to see what can be had.
son Gordon has never once proved to be a guaranteed "20-ppg" scorer like some people claim. he only put up 22ppg ONCE while playing on a ty team and in only 56 games. the previous two seasons before that he only put up 16ppg and last season he only played in 9 games so you couldn't tell what he would have done. Gordon is not a guaranteed 20-ppg scorer.
Son, the Suns medical staff got Grant Hill.... Grant ing Hill... to play four full seasons and most of a fifth. If there is any team that can keep Gordon on the floor, it's them.
but son the difference there is that Grant Hill has heart. Eric Gordon lacks that.
Dude, he's a Hornet. Don't jock him later sons.
