Good trolling, TBH.
BR, son, just look at the supposed "p****ies" that are "injured" and not playing this year. Damn man, D. Wade and Chris Bosh just finished playing in the Finals, and now they're supposedly injured and can't play. Yeah right.
Argentina already beat Team USA in Indianapolis back in 2002 for the Worlds (no Duncan there)...
And Pop was an assistant coach in that 2004 team coached by Larry Brown...
Tim Duncan is a HOF system player.
LOL Larry Brown giving all their minutes to Richard Jefferson, Lamar Odom, and Shawn Marion.
agreed
Shawn Marion having the honor of getting bukkaked by Argentina both in 2002 and 2004![]()
Well, Argentina and Spain are the only good foreign teams. Unlike Greece, which has a team that gets its pushed in by a bunch of tribal shamans that though their airplane to the qualifying games was a monster, they have what it takes to compete.
I was fully aware of Duncan letting our country down in 2004, but I forgot about D-Rob doing likewise in Seoul. Good find, BR.
Truly shameful representatives of our great nation.
sons many of you are being hypocrites by saying that "but... but... but.... Duncan had to play with" excuse because in the 2000 Olympics the U.S. had absolutely no problem bringing home the Gold with this roster ....
2000 Olympic Team
Shareef Abdur-Rahim
Ray Allen
Vin Baker
Vince Carter
Kevin Garnett
Tim Hardaway
Allan Houston
Jason Kidd
Antonio McDyess
Alonzo Mourning
Gary Payton
Steve Smith
then Duncan had this ...
2004 Olympic Team
Timmy D
Allen Iverson
Stephon Marbury
LeBron James
Dwyane Wade
Carmelo Anthony
Amare Stoudemire
Carlos Boozer
Lamar Odom
Emeka Okafor
Richard Jefferson
Shawn Marion
now sons come on. enough with the excuses. look at those rosters. if that 2000 team roster could win Gold, then Duncan's team had absolutely no excuse in 2004 for getting stomped out by Argentina and finishing behind ITALY for the bronze for the love of God.
Sir, will you listen to yourself!
leaning on stat padding players
trying to prove something using these 2 team-killers.
Where are they playing now? China? Turkey?
Wanting to play with these guys
I dunno son, if Iverson and Marbury were more willing to defer to Timmy and other open teammates rather than take poor shots, I imagine the outcome would have been different. We know based on Kobe's recent playoff run than when you have a selfish guard taking bad shots to obtain glory (despite having star big men on the team), it's a recipe for failure.
Son, the 2000 team almost lost to Lithuania![]()
another thing sons is not only did Argentina sweep and mop the floor with Duncan's U.S. team in 2004 (the most crucial game of their Olympics which Duncan the bed and only scored 10 points, 6 rebounds, and turned the ball over 3 times see link below) ... but even Lithuania beat them as well. yes Lithuania!

(btw another interesting tidbit ... Ginobili stepped up for his country and delivered 29 points in that game while Duncan couldn't do for us)
lol son they did lose to Lithuania at one point...

Never again![]()
TBH Duncan was the only consistent guy on that roster. Melo/LeBron/Wade were all still young, and your point guards were total chuckers in Marbury/Iverson.
The other squads had PGs who made plays for the team, not to mention guys like LeBron who would eagerly defer to the wide open guy.
But if the 2004 Olympics showed anything, Manu was a total beast.
so just to set the record straight with statistical facts. Tim Duncan was clearly the best player on the 2004 Olympic team, I mean it was his team. However in the two biggest games for the U.S. team in 2004 Duncan was pretty much nowhere to be found ...
Semi-Finals vs Argentina
Argentina: 89
USA: 81
Duncan: 10 points, 6 rebounds, 3 turnovers
Top USA Performer
Stephon Marbury: 18 points (8 of 15 shooting)
Bronze Medal Game vs Lithuania
USA: 104
Lithuania: 96
Duncan: 6 points (1 of 7 shooting)
Top USA Performer
Shawn Marion: 22 points (9 of 15 shooting), 6 rebounds, 3 steals

son check my post above. that simply is not true. sure Duncan lit it up against ing Angola and Puerto Rico (lol) ... but in the two most important games of the entire Olympics he didn't do .
You are absolutely right, BR... great take, B...
What the 2004 Olympic team needed was the calm, measured leadership of dat dude Eric "Da MF'n Troof" Gordon to set them team-killing chuckers straight... his clutch shots and warrior mindset would surely have delivered the gold, tbh...
Yeah right, having Clipper coach playing Marion over LeBron and over Wade was already bad enough.

Sons, that's why you need the clutch play of a guy like King Eric the Cornerstone on your team, tbh... it's CRIMINAL that he didn't make Team USA this year over that pathetic choker James Harden...
