There was an agenda in 2004 against US. Look up player interviews from that team they all say the same.

DRob was the record holder for a long time for points scored in the Olympics. And checking the boxes he always showed up unlike Ewing.

racist first of all. no need for that

son second of all I do have a team to root for. I also don't have to jump on another cities team bandwagon to cheer for the NFL either like you do.
    I don't give a about the NFL.

Baton Rouge and New Orleans aren't the same cities fwiw.

I wasn't being racist, don't even know your race. You're being racist to associate a monkey with race.

for those who missed it last night ...

so just to set the record straight with statistical facts. Tim Duncan was clearly the best player on the 2004 Olympic team, I mean it was his team. However in the two biggest games for the U.S. team in 2004 Duncan was pretty much nowhere to be found ...

    Semi-Finals vs Argentina

    Argentina: 89
    USA: 81

    Duncan: 10 points, 6 rebounds, 3 turnovers

    Top USA Performer

Stephon Marbury: 18 points (8 of 15 shooting)

    Bronze Medal Game vs Lithuania

    USA: 104
    Lithuania: 96

    Duncan: 6 points (1 of 7 shooting)

    Top USA Performer

    Shawn Marion: 22 points (9 of 15 shooting), 6 rebounds, 3 steals

sons the truth of the matter is that Duncan being the best player on the U.S. team in 2004 did nothing but pad his stats against pussy teams like Angola, Puerto Rico, and Greece (basically teams that if Matt Bonner played there he could look like Kareem Abdul Jabbar) ... but then the bed when it counted against teams that actually had some talent and when his country needed him the most. check the stats.

another thing sons is not only did Argentina sweep and mop the floor with Duncan's U.S. team in 2004 (the most crucial game of their Olympics which Duncan the bed and only scored 10 points, 6 rebounds, and turned the ball over 3 times see link below) ... but even Lithuania beat them as well. yes Lithuania!

*******(btw another interesting tidbit ... Ginobili stepped up for his country and delivered 29 points in that game while Duncan couldn't do for us)*******

just props to Kobe Bryant at his age STILL wanting to honor his country and play in the Olympics. Tim Duncan gets his ass whipped one time and he goes running with his tongue ring between his legs...

Whether you take it as trolling or not is immaterial. BR's dropping truth bombs in this thread, and the harsh truth is that Tim Duncan shamed himself, his teammates, and America.

Good, the rest of you gots can't have him winning for you. I'll take the le he delivered the Spurs in the season immediately after over some bull medal in the lamest non-soccer sporting even in the world.

LOL @ a NBA le being more prestigious than a GOLD Olympic medal. That's like putting the WWE Heavyweight belt being above owning the le in professional boxing.

Michael Phelps got 8 gold medals in the last Olympics. No one ever got 8 NBA championships in one season. There's no one playing the game who has more than 5 championships for their entire career. The best player in the game has 1.

Phelps walks into a Starbucks, and behind him walks Lebron James or Michael Jordan. Does anyone even notice Phelps?

NBA Championship >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Gold Medal in terms of ease of acquisition in basketball.

Getting butt hurt over a fluke bronze is testament to that.

    Bruce Jenner/Kardashian

Also, I noticed Emaka Okafor on that losing Olympic squad. That explains a lot.
