won the award in 2003 ...... ted on himself in the same year but made a nice move picking up Rasheed and helping the Pistons curbstomp the Lakers .......
But those Pistons destroyed the big4 Lakers to win the championship in 2004 and they made the Finals in 2005 too.
If they pick Bosh or Melo you have to believe they would be better but who knows? The team could be different.
With Bosh in the team surely Rasheed wouldn't play in Detroit. Good or bad? Bosh/Atkins or Rasheed Wallace in 2004?
Overall Melo is a big upgrade over Prince... but would he be able to stop Kobe like Prince did? With Melo it's safe to say the evolution of Prince wouldn't be the same that year. And surely the role of Hamilton would be smaller
But of course it's pretty dumb to pick Milicic over Melo or Bosh. And there were more players in 2003 draft not named Wade,Bosh or Anthony that could help more than Milicic not having a big impact in the team
3 of those s teamed up for one ring, and Wade had possibly 3 HOF'ers (Zo, Shaq, GP) help him snag the other. Darko did for the Pistons. Put Melo on those Pistons squads or sub out wade or Bosh and Place him with the Heat (Lebron) and Melo has a ring. I do think Melo is a bit overrated by some folks, but it's not like Melo has played with HOF talent the closest was a past his prime AI ...

Melo's defense is complete garbage because he rarely tries unless it's iso defense. He's fat, lazy, and his stats drop every other year due to said fatness and laziness.
Melo: "I never work out for more than 45 minutes a day, I don't need to". Dip thinks he's so great that workouts won't even help. That's wy his face is always so rotund now. Always looking like he just ate two hams.
