He doesn't get it.. He must live in a city where he can punch an off duty cop in the face but they have ZERO authority to arrest him..
Hey bull , the link you posted says that it's only a citizen's arrest till an on duty cop comes.

That hole of yours isn't big enough yet...

    http://opd.ohio.gov/RC_Casebook/resisting_arrest.htm

(1976), 52 Ohio App. 2d 35 -- Resisting arrest conviction upheld when arrest was by an off duty police officer working for a grocery store, who had identified himself as such to the defendant.

Houston obviously has a similiar process..

    Keep shoveling...

so you found a case 36 years ago in Ohio and that somehow means the same thing applies to current day Houston.

$100 bet that these charges don't stick. Any takers?

He was arrested and charged so show me something from Houston procedures that says it was improper.. You have gone from a cop has no jurisdiction whatsoever when off duty to that example you just gave me is old..

You are just speculating and trolling jackass.. If the charges are dropped it won't be because the off duty cop had no right to haul his drunk ass in...

If a cop is off duty, he has no jurisdiction anywhere, so I guess that cop was out of jurisdiction. If a cop is off-duty he does not have the authority to arrest you.
Wrong...if an off-duty cop is in an area where he is commissioned, he has every right as if he is on duty.

Pretty sure cops can arrest anyone at any time if a crime has clearly been committed.

Doesn't seem like the case here. Seems like the line between cop and bouncer got blurred by an off duty got that thought he was some tough guy. How the are you gonna charge someone for resisting arrest when you have no reason to arrest them in the first place?

The example you gave is in a different state

Why not bet me if you think the cop had the right to charge him with resisting arrest? I'm still waiting to hear why AP was arrested in the 1st place
