just cash. I'm not a huge tournament fan I think it's high luck/high variance... plus I have no tournament experience so I'm sure I got some leaks.

Mavs should sign Kaman. He's still pretty good and he's friends with Dirk. Dirk needs to have someone to laugh with while his team misses the playoffs for the first time during his era since he was first drafted.

They really should consider trading Dirk for some young talent and picks. It's not like they have the time to build around him once again and he deserves better.

A team like Indiana, Denver or Boston should be able to put together a package that Dallas likes and makes these teams at least fringe contenders.

Agreed no sense in a fringe playoff team for a couple of years, then rebuilding whenever you can just go ahead and start doing that now. the sooner you do this, the sooner we can get this thing turned back around. They took a gamble and they lost big time. Just cut your losses at this point.
