Sixers acquire Wright from Warriors for draft pick
Well, the Sixers definitely have a type.
Sixers Insider Dei Lynam reports that, according to a league source, the Sixers have acquired 6-foot-9 swingman Dorell Wright from Golden State for a future draft pick.
Wright averaged 10.3 points and 4.6 rebounds per game last season for the Warriors in 27 minutes per game.

Logjam at the wing with Wright/Young/Iguodala/Turner. Iguodala trade?
They can't afford to lose Iggy even though he's a bit overpaid. Turner hasn't looked good so far, especially offensively where he's a disaster. Wright and Young are just role players. The only way they trade Iggy is if they're looking to start over. But trading for Wright and signing Young doesn't show that. Turner could be trade bait, but that's selling low.
I thought Turner looked damn solid last year. Not top 2 pick solid, but definitely made strides. Nick Young is blah. He is the definition of streaky scorer and he doesn't do enough of that to offset all of his other blemishes.
I don't really get the Wright move - he is a solid player and hard worker on both ends, but what's the point. He's got a good contract though so I guess depth isnt a bad thing.
So Sixers roster looks like this:
Holiday/?
Turner/Young
Iguodala/Wright
Allen/?
Hawes/?
Wright and Young gives them much needed perimeter shooters at the wing spot. They don't create their own shots, but can extend the floor for Iggy.
Turner has shown some flashes, but he's still a terrible offensive player. Can't shoot at all. His defense is ok, but could be better. But overall as a player he wasn't that good since he struggled offensively. That's why he hasn't been a starter.
Wright and Young should offset Williams to Atlanta.
Philly is a good defensive team (top 3) but they only win games by making opponents play down to their level.
That's why they needed more wing scorers. Young and Wright will help some only because of their shooting, but won't be enough especially if they can't replace Brand's interior scorer. He was pretty good the last couple of seasons.
Wouldn't mind the Hornets getting him on a one year to give them a post scorer.
Let Turner get a couple seasons under his belt before labelling his offensive game completely terrible. He isn't top-2 material, but there were times in which he was pretty good on O. I bet the same will be the early verdict with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist except MKG is a better defender and his O might be more polished than Turner. I don't know what the 76ers are planning, but their line-up looks a little bit shaky even with them considering an Iggy trade. Who would they get in that case? Wright gives them another SF, so the stockpiling thing may be something the brass has in mind but it seems awfully awkward to have a logjam at SF.
Difference between Turner and MKG is Turner came out as a polished upperclassmen. His biggest problem is he can't shoot from the perimeter or from anywhere on the floor. He's flashy at times, but overall has been a disappointment offensively.
I wonder if they could use him some at the point to offset some of the logjam at the wings. He's a good ball-handler and wouldn't have to focus on scoring.
philly is going small imho
