So what do you think, Ace? I think Darko or Haywood are safer at this point.
It's a LR-HR move with not much pressure on Oden, but Miami isn't really a cap-rich team.
Greg Oden has decided he doesn't want to sit out the entire 12-13 NBA season as he previously stated in an May interview. Oden called his agent Mike Conley and that he wants to play. “(Oden) called me, and he was kind of excited,’’ Conley said Thursday. “I think he’s motivated …. He wants to play. He had said he wanted to take this season off, but he’s backed off from that …. He’s open to playing this season. I think he will play this season.’’Oden has had five surgeries on his knees since entering the NBA.“He’s starting to work out,’’ Conley said of Oden, who was recently cleared for workouts, feeling better about his situation. “He’s excited. You can tell he’s getting antsy. At the end of the day, I want him to finish out his NBA career. He’s still pretty young (24). ’’Conley said he has not heard from the Miami Heat at all since Oden was waived. But he said Oden has interest in the Heat if they ever were to be interested. “Obviously, if the Heat wanted him, who wouldn’t want to play for the Heat?’’ Conley said of the defending champions. “That goes without saying. They have roster spots and a need (at center). But it’s too early to say about where he might play. ’’Conley expects Oden to find a contract. Prefer Darko but Oden for the minimum won't be bad. If he's not healthy he can take Howard's or Pittman's spot to rott on the bench. Either way it doesn't hurt Miami and if Miami lands a serviceable center...![]()
sons LOL at all of these lazy bas s wanting a free ride and taking the easy route jumping on the Miami bandwagon. none of them deserve an ounce of respect for shamelessly trying to coattail ride.
Oden hired this guy as his agent?
![]()
No, his spot on then bench is open...
Just signed a 1-year deal. He's off the books.
Actually his dad![]()
Thank you thank you, I'll be here all night
If Oden suddenly plays 82 games + the entire playoffs, tlong is going to be on suicide watch.
I'd take him on the Suns for a 2 year deal. They have enough cap room where he wouldn't make a difference with his contract and if Portland's training staff was really that bad, Phoenix might get him healthy.
If that happens I'd pick the Suns to come out of the West
Suns would be the best possible place for him, tbh. They might be able to help him adjust his game to avoid injuries.
lamborghini mercy tbh
I wouldn't mind Oden. I don't see him ever being healthy, but it is worth a shot. Miami is fine as long as they stay healthy, but if they happen to upgrade the center position.....![]()
this cat should just take his ball and go home....how many more career ending injuries does this he need to get it through his head that his body was not made to handle the rigors of this sport..
good bigs are rare resources in the league today. if he could be signed for minimum or , he's a decent signing anyday since most bigs would rather get overpaid elsewhere. even TOSB camby got a 3yr 16m deal![]()
dude played like 10 nba games and already wants to coattail ride the heat bandwagon
Rockets will sign him since they have it in for broken bigs with weak knees, broken feet and backs.
Maybe Oden and the Heat could square off against Brandon Roy in the Finals.![]()
