5 out of 10 is decent?
Oh and...:
Brave 5/10
Decent movie...plot could've been better
5 out of 10 is decent?
Ok, decent is probably too strong of a word.
It was okay for the type of movie it is (a kid movie/animated), IMO.
All Good Things 6.5/10
Ryan Gosling doing his thing.
I liked it, saw it with my daughter. I also liked the story, mainly because they didn't take the usual Christian slant and paint the "witch" as evil.
21 Jump Street 6/10
Powder Blue 4/10
Jessica Biel stripping couldn't save this ty movie.
Safe House - 2.5/5.0
The Big Year 8/10.
Lite fare, pleasant, sl. corny. I'm not averse to Owen Wilson or Jack Black as is so popular to be, but I suspect having them on the bill caused many people to avoid it or to expect some sort of comedy. But because I've done a good amount of birding and list keeping, it's funny to imagine the existence of the super hardcore birders you run across.
A Thousand Words 5/10
Good message about life, but still meh.
It's more of a 6.5/10.
Convert to the scale of 10 you old dude.
Savages 7.0 out of 10
Really entertaining movie if you ignore the sometimes cheesy asides and dialogue and the Wayne's World ending.
The Grey 7.9/10
The ending pushed it higher for me. Loved this movie a whole lot more than I thought I would too.
Yeah...I thought the beginning and end of this movie were well done. But the middle became pretty predictable. Just kept doing the same thing over and over. Not that they'd ever do it, but this would have been great condensed to 1 hour.
This movie was bashed in here but I'm with you- I thought it wasn't that bad and there were some good moments dealing with imminent death and the father/son thing wasn't bad either. (Father's poem)
Machine Gun Preacher 8.5/10
Some gripping scenes and if you can overlook the "white guy saves the blacks again" message....
It was actually inspiring.
And that's exactly what made it really good to me, as well as the music on that part.![]()
Yup.
And on the other side...I was surprised that I actually dug the mechanical wolves...go figure.![]()
Much better than cartoon wolves lol
speaking of Liam Neeson movies that I had low expectations for...
Watched "Knowing" the other day and thought it was pretty good.
"Knowing" got crapped on here too, but I really liked it. It was really good.

The Last Samurai 7.5/10
Rounders. Solid poker flick. 8/10
John Malcovich was great. Ed Norton was surprisingly underwhelming.
