I was sincere in my responses and at least have put my work on the line as did you...
Some people came in here and attacked but never provided any sample of their work (which is funny because I appreciate art and when someone submits a sample or shares their music--I am always pretty sincere about my responses)
but if you do want to discuss any music related stuff I will absolutely pitch in.

So you put down everyone's work and call everyone's work ty and claim to be a writer. You post on a writers thread and then at the end of the day you refrain from backing up your claims and/or even trying to provide a sample?

Roger I play around with the kids here because they are funny. Trust me I know a lot about poetry and writing, who you need to read what you need to read. Sorry about how it went, honest. It's obvious you are on a higher wrung of the ladder, glad to see that.

By the way, it's "rung" and by the way you slop your sentences together here, I find it hard to believe you've read much, or that you've written anything legible.
Well, I just bought Final Draft 8, it's software for screen-writing. It cost me $250, so I'm pretty diligent on getting started.
I'm just going to go ahead and talk about my premise,
maybe that way we can all go back to talking about writing,
or music or poetry, whatever it may be.
My premise is, a man in his late 30's and his brother in his early 30's. The older brother is an author, who had just got a book published. The book sold very few copies and didn't receive any good reviews. Obviously, he & his family (wife & 13 year old son) are struggling financially, but more than anything (including money), he wants to be immortalized for a great, profound novel.
So he becomes fascinated with the story of Lord Timothy Dexter. An illiterate author from 1748, who published a book devoid of punctuation and correct spelling. Dexter decided to fake his own death to see what people would say or do.
So the older brother, conjures up an idea, that he himself would fake his death, & would only tell one person, the only person he trusts 100%, his younger brother. His younger brother is tasked with knowing his brother is not dead, pretending that he is, and reporting all of the reactions and feelings to his older brother, so that he may write them down, to create a riveting book based on a true story.
Of course, the main character is the younger brother, under-going emotional turmoil, having to witness the pain and despair among his loved ones, & especially growing closer to his older brother's son.
I have a bit more that I want to add to the idea.

I am at work- but I will give it some thought and post something after work where I can sit and take my time and think.
Don't worry about getting ripped off until you actually have a complete story---or even if someone tries to rip it off--they would still have to do the real work of marketing it and selling it.
You would be lucky if someone stole it and made millions-because then you would have something to sue for $$$
Once you have an actual story/script- you would first get it copyrighted anyway.
I found the story of Dexter to be hilarious. It would be quite an undertaking to pull it off though, since you would have to spend some time developing the characters to the point where the audience sympathizes with them. They would need to spend time together, and the audience would need to be able to see the bond between the brothers in order to understand the antagonistic dilemma that the younger brother faces. I assume, of course, that the younger brother is the protagonist.
Very cool idea, man.... kind of reminds me of a cross between Synechdoche, New York and The Royal Tenenbaums...
Are you planning on the audience being aware of this plot...or is the audience in on this secret. Something to consider. Probably more powerful if the audience also thinks the writer died...maybe discovering the ruse at the end...
