Great ing episode.
Actually, I think Hank is. It's way too early for anything truly bad to happen to Walt, being only episode 2/8 this year and 2/16 remaining.
Great ing episode.
Can these cats keep delivering the goods?
Looks like they can.
Great TV.
Great start to the final season. Walt is just a badass! It was Jesse's idea about the magnets. Skylar will live in fear, as she should be.
And then there's Hank, who just won't give up.![]()

I'm gonna have to rewatch the episode. I was back & forth busy with things here at home while it was airing.
Seeing how this is the last season, and in this day and age, spoilers seem to always leak prior to episode airings, can we please all agree to just not post anything spoiler related in thus thread ever again?
Or if you feel so very compelled to post them and potentially ruin a great show for people, can you post a giant bolded SPOILER ALERT?
I think we should all be able to agree on this.
+1
Favorite moment last night.......Walt telling Saul "We're done when I say we're done".![]()
Walt looking like a young Phil Jackson in the opening scenes...he should've Grand Slam the waitress for being overly perky...
Looks like the ego on Walt is getting to a messianic point--probably will cost him. Hank is again pursuing things to the Nth degree and the Skylar/Ted dynamic may be something of a concern. I like how they set up a myriad of possible endgame situations for Walt in the opener.
Wayyy cool...
Screw AMC for making me sit through a-not-so-funny show to see a preview of next week's BB and a Walking Dead trailer--which, kicked ass as well...can't wait!
Also like AMC taking a page from the Mad Men ideology and having those, "Cable and Time Warner has this show but DISH Network doesn't ads. Though it sounded like bitter grapes it did humor me in that they'd advertise in that manner.
I have Dish so needless to say I'm pissed.
Oh that bites...AMC has been very vitriol in their ad campaign...too bad that there couldn't have been a settlement. Breaking Bad and TWD are enough for me to switch if we were Dish.
and I have directv which means no Comedy Central and a few other not so great channels for the time being
talk about bitter grapes, directv and viacom both have their own scolling messages going on at the bottom giving their sides, similar to a news feed
Not currently. He's the Ghost of Christmas yet to come. It's like when they kept showing the glass eyeball and the burnt teddy bear floating in Walt's pool all season leading up to the plane crash at the end a season or two ago.
not great but a good episode. cant wait for the next one
That's debatable since you can't have a great episode for your opening episode of your 5th season--It builds the plot and direction of the season. With that in mind, it was a great episode because it placed in front of you what's going to happen and in a sublime manner, they set up this year even better than last.
That episode was significantly better than the 1st of last season.
BOOM! The scene I saw was the very first of the season. The Denny's he's at is the one right across from campus.
Wasn't the result of the magnet idea kind of a win-lose for Walt and Jessie? Yeah, the magnet probably destroyed the laptop in the evidence room but it did draw attention to a picture in the evidence room that had information about a routing number.
Knew it.
He'll be dead before the end of the season though. Only question is whether Walt or Skylar will do it.
I'm glad they addressed the cameras, since that was bugging me when I re-watched the series.
My money's on Skylar if it comes to that.
what kind of Luck_The_Fakers_Luck_The_Fakers_Luck_The_Fakers_Lu ck_The_Fakers_ decided it was a good idea to wait till next summer to finish the show?
I think it was a combo of both Vince Gilligan and the braintrust @ AMC--they have shown lately that they will milk lengthy spaces of time between seasons with other headlining shows (The Walking Dead and Mad Men) and get their audience clamoring for new material. I don't mind it being split in two seasons--it allows you to have more Walt White in your life.
