It takes someone with severe mental issues to conduct something like this.
The workers and the victims at that movie theater are going to be scarred for life. Just a damn shame. All they wanted to do is just watch Batman fight Bane and some asshole said no and wanted to up their movie experience.
It takes someone with severe mental issues to conduct something like this.
Don't worry, you'll have TSA checkpoints at movie theaters soon enough.
It's just a saying.. calm down
Here we go....
using this as an opportunity to bash this film and America
forgetting about Martin Bryant
trying to start an argument. I was merely starting a thread about it and stating a saying people around the world say, doesnt mean . Stop taking things so literally.
I don't follow you around but in a lot of your more recent posts, therein lies some butthurt. Why lie?
posting something like that and not expecting an argument to start
even stupider than previously thought
Here come metal detectors at movie theaters
Ban midnight movies!
He went into the theater through an emergency exit, allegedly.
That's really sad and shocking tbh.... wow.... Who does something like that?
I think it has to be something in their upbringing surely. Are people born bad or they are turned that way?
Sadly, you're probably right, tbh.... and I wouldn't even be surprised at a puritanical crackdown on the content of action movies, too....
I hope there isn't a crackdown because there is no way film and game content makes someone do things. I've seen a litany of action and thrillers etc. and haven't committed a crime.
And overzealous cops pepper spraying and beating people simply trying to take out their wallets.
Guns dont kill people.
Weren't all the victims unarmed? One could argue that if at least one other person were armed, the shooter may not have followed through with their plan...
Well, considering that after Columbine (and a couple other school shootings), the video game AND movie industries were dragged into a hearing about their content, I wouldn't be surprised if Congress did the same thing now.... and in the current neocon, Puritan, PC climate of our country, it would be a lot harsher on the movie industry....
Yeah this is true. I just find it ridiculous though. It's just plain irrational. Someone doesn't see a violent film or game and just get up and think I'm gunna go slaughter people purely off it
I don't really see the point in making it a gun control or political issue quite yet. There will be plenty of time for that.
My only thoughts are that I had family members throughout the country that were seeing this movie at midnight. Most of them were nephews, nieces, cousins, and they are all teenaged or younger. I can't wrap my mind around how terrible it must be to wake up this morning and find out one of your friends or family was shot, or killed while just trying to enjoy themselves.
I remember when I saw this movie, Mrs. SBM and myself looked at each other and said, almost simultaneously;
Why the would a director make this ?
It seems irresponsible. Just wait until some idiot thinks it would be a cool thing to do.
