lots of stars there, but who is the captain/leader/alpha male of the group?

Lebron and doesn't look to be close with the little amount of games played thus far.
well, looks like Spursfan has an opinon too... might aswell keep this one here, and I'll make a new one on the NBA forum and compare notes...
Lebron obviously.
I voted Chandler in the other poll, but I'll go with kobe in this one.
You are an idiot. Kobe is done since 2010.
Another ing idiot. You must love ESPN. .
Durant getting no love... tbh, you have to wonder if his wardrobe works against him...
Nonsense. ESPN loves Lebron.
KD might leave (okay wtf he probably will) his stamp in a couple of games, but Lebron is king this year tbh.
Yet this idiot realizes that your personality isn't directly correlated to the status of your current physical state.
FYI: Alpha dog and number 1 scoring option aren't mutually exclusive terms. Kobe is the most compe ive, demanding player on team USA. And you don't have to ask folks in Colorado ski lodges to figure he gets what he wants, one way or another.
The Media wants it to be Lebron...but the fans say it's Kobe....them s Jealous of Kobe...
Kobe the star when US basketball team goes abroad
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/wire?...oly&id=8186615The only thing Bryant can't seem to explain to reporters is why he's so much more popular than his teammates on the Olympic basketball team.
"I don't know. I don't know where it comes from or how that happens," he said Saturday with a laugh. "It all started with the Dream Team in terms of basketball becoming so global. When I came into the NBA, I kind of inherited kind of the globalization of the game, and then having grown up overseas they really kind of laid claim to me because this is where I learned how to play the game, is overseas."
Chris Paul figures Bryant owes it to the way he's won and carried himself through the years -- along with one other thing.
"A lot of it's got to do, too, that he plays for the Lakers. I learned that, too, I learned that quick," Paul said. "Everywhere you go, shoot, the Lakers, they never play a road game. Only time they might play a road game now is in Oklahoma City."
Bryant is not the best player on the U.S. team, probably just cracking the top three at this stage of his career. Yet for as good as LeBron James, Kevin Durant or any other U.S. player is, none draws the attention of Bryant once the Americans leave home.
"Well, he's been doing it for 16 years in the NBA and in those 16 years the accomplishments are incredible. I mean, they're worthy of a top-five player in the history of the game, really," U.S. coach Mike Krzyzewski said. "And then he's been so visible, been all over the world. In others words, he's traveled all over in the offseason. Even when we're on this tour, he's a guy that gets out, meets people. I think he has just made a commitment to being out there and as a result, you know, people follow him."
The Americans still marvel at the frenzy surrounding Bryant four years ago in Beijing. U.S. assistant Mike D'Antoni once joked that the thunderous "Kobe! Kobe!" chants during the opening ceremonies had even James, Dwyane Wade and Carmelo Anthony going, "What are we, potted plants?"
It remains to be seen tbh...
Kobe has the at ude to take the label but his performance is another thing, especially when scrubs like barbosa and garcia score almost at will on him.
When it matters (in pool play), we'll have a better idea as to who the alpha dog is.
tbh, I didnt mention number 1 scoring option/go to guy on purpose... I know thats Lebron hands down right now
Mainly directed at Heatfan.
Chandler is a legitimate option, IMO... he's basically the anchor on D and a legit tough guy...
kobe might think he was the alpha guy when he's not even the best on his own team. bron is the leader of this team deservedly and it ain't worth any arguing
even w/o TC they'd still dominate the olympics pretty much the same way miami won the NBA championship, and we didn't have no big guy nearly as good as anthony davis back in the day
LeBron closed out the game vs Brazil in a game Kobe and Melo were chucking.
From a fan perspective good thing that your opinion of the alpha is in the global minority...
