the GOP Pulled Off an Ins utional Coup With the Help of Enablers in the Media

The reality is that since Obama came into office, Senate Republicans have blocked an unprecedented number of measures that had majority support, and failed to confirm dozens of appointees. It is not simply a generic matter of “dysfunction.”

Leaving party affiliation aside, it is now possible for the senators representing the 34 million people who live in the 21 least populous states — a little more than 11 percent of the nation’s population — to nullify the wishes of the representatives of the remaining 88 percent of Americans.

the Senate is an anachronism of why America if ed. It used to work pretty well, until Gingrich put the Repugs on a path of blind obstructionism, denying Dems their right to govern, even denying Dems any legitimacy at all.

First, your leading sentence makes no sense whatsover.

2nd. lol @ right to govern.
    3rd. lol @ legitimacy.

#2 and #3 are earned. If they're lacking, they need to get busy.

if Dems win elections, aka earned victory, and get the majority, they have the right to govern.

Repugs a few years ago talked about the PERMENANT REPUG majority, meaning they denied the legitimacy of Dem opposition and election victories. The mass disenfranchisement in Repug states is their ongoing attempt to deny the legitimacy of Dem voters.

    Cool story, bro.

Sounds like fecklessness by the democratic party.

    I see...

You complain about when republicans block a democrat president's nominee, and cheer them on when democrats block a republican president's nominee...

    I'm right, aren't I?

they each block what they consider extreme nominees, but the Repugs are blocking non-controversial nominees with overwhelming bipartisan support at the committee level.

I find that the most credible info can be found on alternet, thinkprogress, mediamatters, dailykos, etc.
