Sherman Hemsley, the actor who made the character George Jefferson famous in "The Jeffersons," has died, El Paso cops tell TMZ.
Hemsley died at his home in El Paso, Texas.
Sources tell us ... it appears Hemsley died from natural causes.

I agree. I used to watch the show myself.
That was a phenomenal clip. It's too bad you can't make a show like that today on network TV; advertisers would run like from it and it would never last half a season.
