Only good pieces in the entire trade are the draft picks.![]()
Kevin Pelton: Wait, if I'm reading @Adrian Wojnarowski right, Minnesota is going to trade back for Brad Miller like a week after trading him? 1 minute ago
Only good pieces in the entire trade are the draft picks.![]()
Jerry Zgoda: If Wolves do trade Wes, just look at assets Kahn has blown through: Nos. 4, 6, 18, 23, 28 picks over 3 years for which he's gotten so little 1 minute ago
They should go back to signing illegal deals under the table.
Might as well lose draft picks in sanctions if they're going to piss them away anyway.![]()
lol son, solid pickup... crofl
brow man aint a standard C and that's why, they want a young center with talent/potential to accompany anthony davis and brook lopez is now the only available option that fits that category. they know they have zero chance at top-tier guys (bynum & DH) while most 2nd tiers have already committed future with other teams.
but still@ spirit chasing an overpaid son of a who doesn't even rebound
It's not like they did any better with that route though. Joe Smith, Wesley Johnson; same .
lol @ Spirit fans still acting like Demps is brilliant after all of the crap he has done this offseason
Robin Lopez is a solid rebounder? Ahahah.
Dude can barely walk without getting in his own way. Clumsy, slow, robotic and *can't* rebound. lmao.
Why are Phoenix taking Minny's crappy wing players? Also why are the Hornets trading draft picks for backups like Lopez and Warrick. Finally, why is Kahn still a GM in this league?
Blanks and Babby making Kahn look like Daryl Morey.
I told you Demps sucked when he agreed to the Laker trade for CP3.
Demps should've gone when the new owner came in...

I'd have given Lopez and Warrick to the Hornets for nothing, have fun with those guys.
Who cares about Minny's crappy wing player, Babby and Blanks just got rid of a ridiculous contract (Warrick), and a ridiculous hairstyle that can't really rebound, score, or defend, but is really good at crouching (Lopez), for a first round pick.
son I really wanted to give Demps the benefit of the doubt when he first came in and he seemed like a decent dude, however I agree. Monty Williams has also been getting a lot of love over the last two seasons, but I have yet to see any "greatness" from him either. now of course the teams he has had to work with have been fairly weak, but that has very little to do with it. he showed us numerous times last season during close games that he also has a long way to go and may not be the man for the job, but I still want to give him at least another 2 seasons as coach though.
Monty you let have one run on the cadillac and see how he does... but management, you normally see a complete overhaul when a new owner walks in...
tbh, the Hornets need both Lopez and Warrick. And the Suns don't need or want them.
This.
Even if Wesley Johnson does nothing (which he prolly will) this is still a great trade.
Well, Warricks contract is not as bad as Wes's, but getting a first rounder is nice.
Wes's contract is a team option after 2013. It's basically an expiring deal.
truth.
son that's why I say give Monty another 2 years or so before letting him go considering that being a head coach in the NBA is virtually just a glorified babysitting job. management however like you said is a different story. I can understand Benson giving everyone this first year, but from what Demps has shown so far and if the Hornets don't improve then I would show him the door after the season.
Warrick is a team option in 2013/2014 and is only 4M this year.
Wes is 4.3M this year and a team option in 2013/2014. Very close, but it's not like they improved contracts. Wes definitely has more upside, but like I said, his contract is technically more expensive. The key is paying only 300K for a first rounder essentially when they usually go for about 3M - so that was a great job.
You just gotta hope he doesn't wreck the franchise with deals before he leaves, tbh...
