Professional basketball player Stromile Swift has been arrested in Shreveport on stalking charges involving an ex-girlfriend.
Swift had been arrested in February for an incident involving the same woman.
Shreveport police said they arrested the 31-year-old Swift about 9:40 p.m. Thursday after officers were called to a domestic dispute on the west side of the city. Police said a woman told them she had been arguing with Swift and he was following her in a vehicle as she tried to get away from him.
Patrol officers got a description of the vehicle and eventually arrested Swift without incident in the 3300 block of Ivy Lane.
Police said they found a shotgun and a handgun in Swift's vehicle.
The ex-girlfriend was not injured, police said.
Swift, of the 9500 block of Stonehaven Drive, was booked on a charge of stalking and later released on bond.
Swift was arrested last February on aggravated assault charges. Police said they were investigating a report of vandalism at the 28-year-old woman's southwest Shreveport residence when Swift showed up there with a gun.
Swift played at Fair Park High School and LSU before being drafted as the second overall pick in the 2000 NBA draft. He played in the NBA for nine years and now plays in the Chinese Basketball Association.2nd pick
Did he do anything in that time? Surely it wasn't 9 years
2nd picks have been pretty disappointing, imo, save for that Durant guy
Seriously:
2000: Stromile Swift:stalker,
worst draft of the lottery era
2001: Tyson Chandler: late bloomer, didn't really fit in with the Bulls
2002: Jay Williams: out of the league after 1 year due to a motorbike accident
2003: Darko Milicic:Detroit; still has more rings than Melo
2004: Emeka Okafor: Decent career, but he's no Dwight
2005: Marvin Williams:Atlanta
2006: LaMarcus Aldridge: good but not the first option on a contender
2007: Kevin Durant: top 2 SF, top 2 player in the NBA
2008: Michael Beasley:stoner
2009: Hasheem Thabeet:punked by Blair
2010: Evan Turner:plays same position as Iguodala
2011: Derrick Williams:tweener
2012: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist: ?
awww...this cat sounds just like Tyson *aka* Mavs>Spurs....He does this type of as well when he's rejected![]()
If he pursued the ball off the glass like this, he'd still be in the league, tbh.
I thought he was dead...who am I thinking of????
Can't remember which NBA Live it was but it was one where there was some sort of weird glitch and Swift was unstoppable for some reason. He had this power dunk move that was somehow unblockable
04 or 05 I think
Lorenzen Wright
Yeah that's what it was. I think Swift had a power dunk one which only Howard/Shaq had so he was basically as good as them
tbh I remember you could do the same hook shot thing with Dirk and score like 50 a game
I think it was NBA Live 05 when the Grizzlies were swole. Bonzi Wells, James Posey, Mike Miller and Stro Swift all had gimmicky bull that worked.
Eddie Griffin?
tractor traylor, imho
nm xe, jus chillin, imho, jason witten no helmet
dude was a beast in 06 too imho, it was in houston where he got jinxed and turned complete , which happened in 05-06 season. 06 game was based on data of 05' summer so the swift in 06 game was fine
Living in the real world, he was always . Fizer, too. They were like the twins.
This.
Not sure why SS reminded me of him, tho...
I remember them not getting swept in the first round.
I'm thinking because they were teammates at Memphis...
